We are going to Orlando for 5 days on our trip (3 days at Disney). We want a 1 bedroom suite, so that means staying offsite (the AoA Cars suite is our dream, but too expensive).

Is the waterpark worth the extra distance away from Disney? For transportation we would be relying on the local city buses.

Is the waterpark worth it for a just-turned-5 year old?
Thanks!

We stayed there in 2011? It is right on International Drive which was a great place to get cheap food, mini golf and shop. I cant speak about public transport because we had a car. Before booking I read a ton of reviews on tripadvisor and they were right on.

They do have a smaller area for the smaller kids. Good "water park" for a day, but definitely not comparable to a disney water park.

Be sure to find out the resort fee. I think it was in the $25 a night range when we stayed

Check out the Liki Tiki resort. We stayed there last May and it was great! My grandkids had a lot of fun at the watermark, and the 2 bedroom condo was very nice. Check on sites like bookit.com etc, to get a better price.

We stayed there a few years ago for 2 nights. The first day my kids used the waterpark. They seemed to enjoy it. We went to Disney the next day and I don't remember it being terribly far. We had our car though.
