What can you tell me about Cape May Clam Bake?

Hello;

I had ADRs for Cape May in 2004, 2006 and 2008... just left BC last week and did not go back...

I don't regret our previous ADR's because we were staying at BC and it was convenient.... however I was NOT blown away by Cape May clambake buffet enough to make it a "destination"....

(Disclaimer: note the dates...this was before "Snow Crab" offerings...however not sure if that would make a difference)

That being said....the Cape May Buffet's we went to were "worth the money" because the buffet's offered enough to satisfy our family of Five...

IMHO Cape May is much like most buffet's at Disney... similar to H&V at DHS...the offerings very similar. I can enjoy my meal there and know that the family will not leave hungry...however I would believe that if you have "non-picky" eaters...that there are better places to try...

Hugs,
Mary

I love cape may!!! We always get adr's here, but on the dis, the place does get mixed reviews. We love that our family who loves seafood gets to have some decent seafood, and those who don't love it gets the 'land' food.
They have great mussels, ribs, seafood salad, among other food. They also have a fantastic dessert menu. Oreo bon bons, flan, and other goodies.

if you like seafood, you really have to go! the crab legs are great! if you dont like seafood, there are better choices. im not saying that the land food isnt good, because it is, but because there are so many seafood choices obviously there wont be as many land food choices. but overall, cape may is fantastic.

Neither my husband or daughter eat seafood and they are the ones in my family of 5 who requested we go there again this year. And my husband doesn't eat meat either. He says there's plenty there to get full on & it's great. Since the addition of the crab legs my sons like going there too. Now they added the lava cakes and that should make everybody happy!

it's our favorite. They have added crab legs to the buffet now which increases the price.

WE loved it when we went in 2008. But if you are expecting a real new england clam bake this is not it. This is a seafood buffet with enough to choices to satisfy both the seafood and nonseafodd lovers alike. Do not go however if what you are looking for is the New England Clambake Experience. You will not find it here.

We went early this month and LOVED it. :)

Super fresh seafood, plenty of non-seafood choices as well. The crab legs were incredible. Chocolate lava cake, need I say more.

The server we had was excellent, she really seemed to enjoy her job and was very personable.

where is cape may? what is the cost for dinner? this looks interesting.....

At the Beach Club.

Not sure of the cost - probably around $25 (give or take a couple dollars) for adults. I think the higher seasonal/holiday pricing might go up to $30ish.

I am glad to see this thread, as we have reservations there in September. This will be our first time there, but it sounds just wonderful. All but one of us are seafood lovers, so we are all very excited about trying it. Crab legs, lava cake, and oreo bon-bons... can't go wrong with any of those!!

we eat at cape may almost every year!!! we love it!

we're big seafood people, and we are always super excited for the clams and clam chowder!

also: best dessert buffet in all of disney! :worship: oreos with chocolate mousse on them and then coated in chocolate = awesome!! plus really good mini cheesecakes!

price isn't too bad at all, plus you can't beat all-you-can-eat clams! enjoy!! :thumbsup2

We ate there for dinner for the first time a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. We are not big seafood eaters, but found plenty of yummy things to eat. My husband did eat some seafood and said it was very good. I enjoyed the ribs and potato salad! We have eaten here in the past for breakfast and will return for both dinner and breakfast.

Is it as good as it looks? Going in Sept on FD and really want to try it. Last time I ate at CMC was in 98, and I loved it then......Can't wait!!!!!
