What can you do with Nesquik?

DH bought a HUGE container of Nesquik (the powdered kind) the other day just for one glass of chocolate milk. He said it was the first one he picked up and didn't really look at it until he was in the car! :rotfl: Anyway, now we have this huge container of the stuff that only makes chocolate milk. It is the 4 lb container, by the way.

Is there any other use for this stuff? Can you use it to bake or make stuff with? I am just at a loss as to what to do with it :confused3

Ah...men. ;)

I'd be making my DH's dinner drink with it until it was gone! :rotfl2:

The Majority of the recipes I am finding use the syrup, not the powder. And the ones that do use the powder are drinks.

brownies here also...

Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons water
2 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups double chocolate-flavor Nestle Nesquik powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts, optional
Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350°.
2 Grease 9 x 13 baking pan.
3 Combine sugar, butter and water in a large bowl; stir well.
4 Stir in eggs and vanilla.
5 Combine flour, Nesquik, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl; stir in sugar mixture.
6 Stir in nuts.
7 Spread into prepared pan.
8 Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky.
9 Cool in pan on wire rack.
10 Cut into bars.

Thanks so much!!
When DH brought it in the house, my first thought was, "What the heck am I going to do with all this?" and then my next was, "The Dis will know!!" :rotfl2:

Thanks again, I appreciate it...I will check out all these recipes!! :)

My favorite is to make no bake oatmeal cookies with it. Especially in the warmer months. 1/2 cup each butter, nesquick and milk. 2 cups sugar. Mix all together and bring to a rolling boil. Once it is really rolling then time for 1 minute exactly. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Spoon out onto cookie sheet. Let cool

I just came across this recipe tonight for homemade frosty's. I have not tried it but it sure sounds good!

1 C milk
1/2 C nesquik
3 C vanilla ice cream

Allow the ice cream to soften in the fridge for about an hour. Mix all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

it serves 2

I used it 2 weeks ago to make chocolate zucchini bread. I actually winged it and didn't have a recipe - turned out really good and much cheaper than baking cocoa.

I thought at first you were going to say, "My favorite is to make no bake oatmeal cookies with it. Make the cookies. Then make the chocolate milk, and drink it :drinking1 while eating the cookies." :lmao:

My daughter puts it in her coffee. A kinda sorta cheap mocha.

I'd love to know how much oatmeal in that cookie recipe. It sounds good.

Buying the huge container is something my husband would do. When I exclaim (or perhaps utter expletives) over it, his response is "Well, now you won't run out of it for awhile." I try really hard not to let him shop...

I used to eat it dry by the spoon when I was younger. Then I progressed to mixing it with peanut butterr and eating by the spoon. I never knew you could actually bake with it! LOL. While it might be a little dry out of the box you can wash it down with milk:rotfl2: You get much more of the chocolate flavor when you eat it dry and then follow it by milk.

Bella, that is so funny, my younger sister used to do that, make her own little bowl of fudge with nesquick and peanut butter, I thought it was her own invention. I never touched the stuff, but she loved it.

We used to use Nesquik to make CHOCOLATE TOAST - - it was my favorite breakfast!

You sprinkle it on buttered toast, just like you would do with cinnamon/sugar.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....................

This must be the recipe. I found it on Allrecipes.com. a reviewer did say she used Nesquik instead of cocoa powder and cut down the sugar.

This was an "Outstanding" recipe. It will satisfy any sweet tooth. Fast and easy to make this recipe is a definite keeper, especially when it is to hot to turn the oven on in the summer and you don't want to heat up the house. I did make 2 adjustments. I cut the sugar down to 1 and a half cups because I used Nesquik Double Chocolate milk powder (the kind you use to make chocolate milk). And since the Nesquik had sugar in it all ready I didn't want to have too much of a sugar rush. The result was still sweet and chewy. I did a raisins to one of the batches that I made. I have made this recipe 3 times in the last week and I am about to make another batch now. These cookies do not last long at all. Thanks!!!

I don't like chocolate milk, but I do love a container of Nesquik and a spoon! I've never tried mixing it with peanut butter. I may be sneaking that little snack one of these nights after DD goes to bed.
