Last time we stopped in Nassau we just walked around for about 45 mins and got back on the ship. This time we're looking at spending the day at Atlantis. Could you share some ideas on what we can do and see there?

Atlantis is the best water park ever! There are so many different kinds of water rides, slides and play areas for all ages. My family of five (kids ages 8, 7 and 5) vacationed at Atlantis for one week and I felt that we needed more time to fully enjoy the resort-it is massive.
That being said, since Atlantis will be an excursion with a limited time on shore, I would check out any of the following: the amazing huge aquarium in the Royal Towers, ride the Rapid Rivers (lazy river with strong currents), drop down the Leap of Faith slide or just visit many of the different pool areas in the resort. Have a wonderful time!

There's a really good lazy river with water slides. That was the only thing I did that I would go back for.
We saw the aquarium and it was nice, but if you've seen nice aquariums before, you've probably seen better.
There's a casino, which we didn't partake in.
We had lunch included in our port adventure and it was greasy, awful chicken with a bag of chips and a can of coke. I don't know if they have better food there that you can buy.
It was very crowded and overall the staff were unfriendly and lazy.

Water park for sure, they have some amazing slides! You also have the aquarium which is very nice. And the Casino is...ok? I mean, it's a casino, with some cool sculptures you can take pictures with.

We are booking the Discover Atlantis Tour through DCL for our April cruise. It basically is a short tour of Nassau then a tour of Atlantis and the aquarium and then we are on our own to explore. Since this is an adults only trip, we plan on spending time in the casino. I know I could do it cheaper on our own, but being our first time to adventure away from the port, I feel is best to book through DCL. Would love to hear if anyone has done the casino

This would be adult only as well.
We were there this summer. If you are interested in the water park then I would recommend that you research the slides to see what interests you and do the slides first as it gets crazy busy. If you need to get a locker do that right away as well. Then I would explore the beach, dig or Casino since you said it's adults only. please know that many venues at the waterpark are credit card only so keep that in mind. Enjoy your time at Atlantis!

We got a boat over and then hug out in the casino and walked through the aquarium. We didn't pay for the water park because every family we asked was going there and as 2 adults we didn't feel like 30 minute plus waits for a water slide. I would not do the aquarium again. I think we saw maybe 3 fish in the entire thing. It was kind of depressing and I hope we were just there during tank cleaning or something and not that all their fish had died.

Best lazy river ever! I thought they said it was more than a mile long, had multiple rapids and a built in wave machine. We stayed on it most of the day. Got out a few times to go on the slides but the lines for these were regretfully too long. Would rather have spent the time in the river and then allowed a little more time to explore.

How is the dolphin encounter at Atlantis? And can you pay to just to the lazy river. We want to to the dolphin. But I don't want to do the water park just the lazy river

We honestly LOVED Atlantis. We did not do the waterpark, just toured The Dig (amazing aquariums) & did the beach day. We went to the beach after the Dig, and stayed for a little bit ( the waves were a bit rough for my kids), then we got the included lunch & walked to the lagoon. It was wonderful. Peaceful water - chairs available. I drug a low chair into the water & just chilled out while my husband snorkeled with the girls. (We brought our own snorkel equipment & borrowed the floatie life jacket things - free- from the resort. It was an amazing day & one of the mega highlights of the trip.

Not planning on the water park or beach, we have plenty of those where I live. Just want to see the resort, eat some lunch and play some slots. Thanks for the tip about needing to bring the visa, wasn't sure if we needed cash or not.
