What brand of tennis shoes do you reccommend?

I also agree with all of the votes for New Balance. MY DH and I will each be bringing a pair of them down to WDW in November.

I also have PF, and I find that the arch in NB shoes is very comfortable for my feet.

No matter what brand you go with, make sure you wear them around at home first before taking them to WDW!!!

Melisa1....
I am a Chiropractor & deal with many people who have feet problems b/c their backs hurt. If you have a wide foot...And this is true for all women...You should look into buying a MAN"S sneaker. It gives you a little wider of a width with a lot of support. ALso since you will be doing a lot of walking...see if you can soak your foot/feet at the end of the day. And take some hand cream & rub out your foot. Also, you can take a golf ball & roll it under the bottom of the foot tohelp break up the tightness.

Hope this helps:)
Have a wonderful time:wave2: princess: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I have to vote for Reebok Princess shoes. I first tried them when I needed a new pair of shoes while in FL on our way to WDW!! I did not need to break them in at all. They are so comfortable, never any sore spots. I've never tried New Balance, don't even know where they sell them. But I love Reebok Princess!

Just my 2cents

I love my Reebok DMX. They are air-supported shoes and they give me great support and a lot of cushion.

Check out the New Balance tennis sneaker #1001; available in mens or womens, depending on the width of your foot. Available for about $85 including shipping online.

Thanks so much for all of your help!!!!! I am going this weekend to see what I can find!!!!

Saucony , the 1st vote here. They have good heel support, thick sole, medium arch and they are wide enough in the toe area.

I've tried New Balance and they don't work for me. I like a shoe with a thick sole and when I have put on NB, I feel like I'm walking on the bare ground. Maybe I just haven't pick the right NB. My DS also had a pair of NB and they were fine for awhile then he said they became to 'floppy' for him.

My DH always wore Nike and would never consider anything else. He's feet started to bother him so he tried different brands. Now he switches between Saucony and Asics Gel.

Also stretching your feet and rotating your ankles for a few minutes before standing help, especially 1st thing in the morning.

Don't go by what everyone else say, find what works for you.

Another vote for Saucony. Last time I was at Disney I walked about 10 miles a day in them without a problem. When they get dirty I throw them in the washing machine and they come out just like new.

I need a shoe with ample arch support and Saucony is the best I've found.

Bought mine at the Saucony outlet while vacationing in Destin, Florida. Retail price $90.00, on the clearance rack for $29.99, quite a steal!

My mom has planters fasciitis too. Her foot doctor recommended New Balance.

But, for me, Reebok fits way better. New Balance shoes run too small and narrow for my "luau feet".:teeth:

You might want to try "Good Feet" inserts too. I think they have stores everywhere and possibly a website.

Good luck!:wave2:

I also have PF. The shoe that works best for me is Skechers ( I think its the energy sneaker style). I wear the open back one and I also have a closed back pair. My feet feel really good in these. I wore them when I was in the parks in August and it really helped my feet. The soles are thick yet cushiony and they also have the arch support I need. I got mine at Sears.

I think the best advice is to go to a sneaker store and try on different pairs and walk around to see how your feet feel.

1st vote here for K-Swiss. I love they way they fit and I never have to "break them in". They are comfortable from Day 1.

its not just about the shoes, its about the socks too. my shoes never bothered me but my socks cause blisters because of the seams.

Saucony and New Balance, I prefer NB because I have wide feet. I love Nike for hoops, but NB can't be beat for walking comfort. Good socks do also make a difference. Get some nice soxs that will breath, like Dry Fit or whatever they are called....someone help me out with that....

Another New Balance wearer here. :wave2:

But I agree with the other posters who said that you should go to the store and try on different sneakers.
