I am at a loss. My daughter only asked Santa for a "flower girl". A little fairy tiny doll, that someone on here found for me after many searched for days. Thanks again btw!!

Anyway, brother is getting an xbox, what can we get her? Maybe something she can make or something crafty like?

Thanks!

How about an easy bake oven or one of those cupcake decorating things? I know that it is much more practical to bake with her in the real kitchen, but I asked for that every year from about age 5-12 and never got one. I still kid my mom about it now.

At that age my nieces both really enjoyed their giant barbie heads that you do the hair and stuff. Those were big hits at that age.

My DD asked for a DS. That's her big gift from Santa. She's getting the Bitty Twins from my mom (another decent gift). She's SPOILED, LOL!

Our DD just turned 5 in October & we were at a loss as to what her 'big' gift should be too. We finally decided on the Barbie Camper (she is VERY into Barbies!). She hasn't asked for anything specific, just "Barbie stuff" and books.

She also loves art & drawing, etc. I saw the Crayola Art Box at Costco but it had a bunch of stuff in it that she didn't use/need so I went to Walmart & got the same container for around $4 and filled it with all different things (new pens, glitter glue, several pads of blank paper, stencils, pencils, etc). I got some of that 3D paint and wrote her name on the side of the box along with hearts, flowers, etc. This way she can carry it to her grandparent's house for visits, out to the kitchen table when she wants to draw, etc.

We also got her 'real' roller skates this year.

Does your DD have a dollhouse? The loving family one is nice, or if she is into Barbies they have several options there.

Good luck, it's tough when they don't give you specifics!

How about a DS so she can play games too (and not beg for turns when her brother is playing). Plus the DS is portable for car trips and those times you have to wait around.

My DD is five also and the major items that she asked for are: DSi, Pogo Stick, motorized razor scooter, karaoke machine (she actually asked for a hannah montana microphone to sing into so we got the karaoke machine), moxie girl with car.

My four year old daughter LOVES her DS. We are at a loss on what to get for her too. Her sister (7) is getting a 32" flat screen TV, so I feel bad because she doesn't have anything HUGE under the tree. Not sure what I am going ot do, though I am debating getting her a flat screen TV too and calling it a day.

The motorized razor scooters are AWESOME! We go one for my DD for her 7th birthday...it goes fast so beware!

My DD5 is getting a Tag reader (along with some books and cards that I got on clearance).

MIL bought one last year that she and DS3 had been sharing, so now she'll have her own (pink!) one.

We went to Disney and put an addition onto our house with 3 new bedrooms and a large common room for the kids this year. According do DH they each got their own room and new furniture for Christmas. ;) The kids agreed to that, so I they should be surprised that they'll actually be getting quite a few smaller gifts under the Christmas tree.

We are also at a loss. Our DD got a DS last year. We bought our boys DSi's for Christmas this year and are now thinking about upgrading her to one as well because we cannot come up with anything else. UGH!!! Since when did it get so hard to buy presents for our kids. I guess that means they all have too much stuff already.

We are in the same boat...too much stuff!!

A neighbor of ours has one of these and DD has been begging for it since early summer. We added in knee/elbow pads and a helmet with it - hoping we can avoid any concussions ;)

My dd, who just turned 6, asked santa for an American Girl Doll, a doll bed, and the Bitty Baby Swing. Santa will give her the doll and swing and my mom is giving her the bed.

I kind of thought she'd want barbie stuff but she's not really very into barbies. I hope she's into the dolls.

ITA!!

She already has a DS and a leapster. I think the barbie head may be an option. But she hasnt asked for it. She asked for her "flower girl", hobbalina, I think she meant thumbelina? puppy in my pocket and polly pocket roller coaster.
That is it, her entire list! Gammy already got her the puppy in the pocket, polly pocket roller coaster and other stuff.

I am getting my 5yo dd one of those tall wooden doll houses from TRU. I am on the hunt for cheap barbies to go with it.

I had planned to get my 5 yo dd the Barbie Camper but seem to have waited too late, it is sold out online and all the stores I have been to so far. Also, she and the 12 yo dd are getting tickets for Taylor Swift as part of their Santa. The Razor RipRider 360 is a good idea also.

Its tough for us because we have an 8 and 5 yr old girl...so our 5 yr old has gotten things when her older sister did (like ipod, ds, etc). Her list of a big item is Julie's bed (american girl) which we got. We also got both of our girls good sleeping bags from REI. Other than that, the 5 yr old wanted a flitter fairy, ez bake oven, AG clothes and the Wizards of Waverly place barbie. She didn't have a long list this year either.

We are getting DD5 a Fisher Price Loving family dollhouse, and an American Girl doll. She really wants a double doll stroller but I don't know if I am going to get that or not.
for smaller gifts we got her a pottery jewelry box, a snuggli type baby carrier and matching dress for her and the AG doll.

DD got a DS last year, she loves it! This year she's getting a laptop. Many of her friends have websites (parent supported and supervised of course... the parents sent letters to each kid in her class, and I had to email them to get access codes etc. to get on), also she likes the Webkins and Littlest Pet Shop sites where she takes care of the animals. She also goes to PBS Sprout, and Nick Jr. to do activities. She has educational software, etc. but dh and I spend a lot of time on our computers, him for work and me for school and dd wishes she could spend time on the computer while we are on :sad2:. I figure it will be useful for many years to come for school, etc.

ETA: DD is not into dolls at all. She got an American Girl doll from a Grandaunt for Thanksgiving and it's beginning to collect dust. She only plays with stuffed animals (Webkins, shining stars, Pet Shop VIPs) and the Littlest Pet Shop toys (they're her favorite). In fact, my mom found my old Barbie townhouse in her basement so I set it up for dd. She uses it for her LPS animals, go figure...

My DD4 (will turn 5 in february) is getting an MP3 that is also a camera, and can play videos too. She is always running off with my cell phone to use the camera feature and to listen to music on it, so I know she will love it, I got it off of Walmart.com and will be loading music and a movie or two onto it and then she will be getting an itunes gift card in her stocking so she can pick some herself too.
