I am so torn between wearing my flip flops and being comfy and wearing my fantastic but not comfy at all Jimmy Choos...I mean nobody is even going to see my shoes! Perhaps I could wear the JC's for the ceremony and then put on my flip flops for the reception!

how bout everyone else? :wizard: princess:

I really wanted to wear flat ballerina slippers, but now I have to wear uncomfortable high heels b/c my dress is too long and it can't be taken up b/c of all the embroidery. I'm so bummed :sad2:

I am all for the flip flops. I bought a great pair in ivory with crystals online and they are perfect for my dress. Of course I went an ordered a pair of regular shoes for the ceremony cause they were on sale....but I really am thinking of just wearing my flip flops...its just more me!

yeah, the flip flops are more me too...on any given day I'm wearing torn up jeans and one of my DF's white undershirts and pair of birkenstocks! I so DO NOT fit in here in Jersey! Actually our neighbor came out of his house one day and I was just coming out with my dog and he said to me "Oh...very Urchin Chic..." Did he just call me an URCHIN?! :rotfl2: Mostly I got the Jimmy Choos to bother my sisters... :lmao: I am SUCH a brat...but seriously, my little sister (who is tall and gorgeous and men just fall all over her) is always calling me a "label *hore... :rolleyes2 nice...so I got the JC's just to BUG HER! I'll show her LABEL *hore! ;) She is one of those girls who goes to the goodwill bins and finds clothes and puts them together to make these amazing outfits...as most arty people can do...but you can't tell me that she wouldn't be walking around in JC's if she had the opportunity! OH my I have family issues huh?! :rotfl:

anyhow, wayyy off topic, I am much more a flip flop girl too!!! I always said I'd wear ballet slippers too...which is also very appealing! But I am afraid that my dress will need some height as I am a shorty! we'll see I spose!

My Jimmy Choo's didn't go with my dress LOL. I wore a pair of ivory satin sandals, not very comfortable especially walking the boardwalk. My feet paid for it for a few days.

Flip Flops, Ivory Satin & Crystals $24.00 on Ebay, so comfy :)

I am going to try and find some ballet slippers. Chris and I are almost the same height so I need something pretty flat. I would be afraid I would trip in flip flops so I am going for the ultra safe option :)

David's Bridal has ballet slippers!! They also have white sparkley flip flops...the ballet slippers have sparkles too!! Go to their online site and you'll see them!!! I saw them last year when I was getting fitted for a bridesmaids dress...sadly the dress was as cliched a bridesmaids dress you can find and my best friend said she picked hideous bridesmaids dresses on purpose so she would the best! :rotfl2: Then that SAME friend says to me as she tries on one of the dresses I had liked for my 'maids "Oh no, I'm not wearing THIS one...it makes my hips look big!" :rotfl: What a brat! She was dead serious! She wanted me to change the colors of my wedding so she could get the dress that looked best on her that only came in one color...yeah, I'm going to go from summery pinks to Autumn copper so you can look good in your dress!!! :lmao: Of course my little sister is the MOH and she said the dress has to look best on her and everyone else has to fall in line and like it!

wow, was that TOTALLY off topic? :rotfl: I'm so ADD these days!

anyhow, bridal ballet slippers at David's Bridal!

I found shoes that exactly matched my dress! Ivory with matching details of floral applique and beading. I didn't want more than a 2" heel but I definitely wanted some heel. Closed toe, sling back, very "bridal" looking. They were very comfy and that's what sold me on them.

I wore a low heel that I got from David's Bridal for the ceremony. At the reception I actually ended up barefoot for most of it. Before we left for EPCOT for our dessert party I put on a pair of keds. I really wish I had just worn the keds the entire time!

I had cinderella glass slippers...very uncomfortable b/c vinyl doesn't give! my poor toes! :rotfl:

GLASS SLIPPERS?! WOW!!! :rotfl: that really is authentic Disney!! I just hate hate hate having my feet hurt and I'm afraid I'd whine through my wedding ceremony if I was uncomfortable for too long! :rotfl2: How I love my birkenstocks! princess: :wizard:

I am a two-shoe bride (but only one will make the cut...)

I first bought a great pair of "glass slippers" with silver accents that look absolutely great with my dress. They have an open toe so they're a bit more comfortable than some vinyls, but I was still not completely convinced.

When I found out that Kate Spade was having one more batch of ICON shoes made for myglasslipper.com, I went ahead and ordered them - and I can't WAIT until they get here!

You've seen the shoe - it's a high heel, white stain, with a bow at the back of the heel. My dress has a bow at the bottom of a low scoop back and I'm having it hemmed ankle length so that the bows on the backs of the shoes will show.

I am SUCH a Cinderella! princess:

:rotfl2:

I was DETERMINED to have closed-toe clear pumps for my fairy tale wedding. If I had known then what I know now... LOL

Here are the shoes:

The troubles I went to even find them! Some had silver, some were open toe, none were over 2" high...

So anyway, they were comfortable enough, and I did wear sheer white thigh his b/c there was no way I was going to go barefoot in plastic shoes. However, when you do a lot of walking in shoes that don't give, your toes are jammed in the front of the shoe - ouch! We walked A LOT - even told our guests to wear comfy shoes b/c of all the walking! I finally took them off towards the end of the reception when all we were doing was dancing. :)

anyway, my advice to anyone who is insane like me and insists on glass slippers...go with an open toe at least, please! :rotfl:

ooooouch! Lord, I hope I find something more comfortable than that! Didn't your feet sweat buckets in those things? ;)

you know, I kind of thought that my feet might sweat, but they really didn't, not like you'd think! maybe b/c my wedding was outdoors at night? :confused3 Of course, under my ginormous skirt, no one saw the shoes anyway so really I wore them for me only. LOL what was I thinking?!?!? :rotfl:

I'm really worried about what I'm going to do. My feet will be covered too b/c of how big the dress is. I'm really not used to walking in heels and I'm going to need some REALLY high ones to pick my dress off the ground. It is way to long and it can't be taken up....I love the embroidery, but it is the reason it can't be done. How hard is it to get used to wearing heels and to find comfortable ones that are that high?
