What are your rates for late Jan./early Feb.?

I was wondering what rates others got for late Jan./early Feb. for car rentals. We are going from Jan.24- Feb 4 (11 days) and got a rate from Budget for $191.96 for a mid-size. Has anyone done better for this amount of time?

I got A fullsize booked at Alamo for about $183 for a week, inc. taxes, etc.. I used a BJ's code because we're members. I'd rather use National, though, and I'l love a bigger car, so I'm keeping an eye out.

My rates for Jan.15-22 are National, full size, $129 base rate weekly. Paying $166 total for 8 days. Hoping for a coupon soon to bring that down a little.

I got a rate of $251.xx total through Alamo using the Entertainment coupon for two weeks from Jan. 29th to Feb. 12th.

National - full size - EmReserve - @ 129.93 for first week, 3 additional days @ 21.66 ea. Add in priceless vacations code and AARP (or Ent) $20 off coupon - total is $192.57 for 10 days 1/28 - 2/6. A full size at less than $20 is usually what I try for, so I'm happy.

i am undecided if i want to use alamo after all the bad things i've read here, so that's why i'm holding the dollar ressie. actually i'd rather use national but their rates for my dates are around $250 still. i keep checking rates daily.

I was thrilled to get this, I started out at Alamo for $268.28 then switched to National for $240.63 then switched back to Alamo for $238.71 then it dropped to $179.43 and now I'm at $174.46. Most of these were using different combinations of codes & coupons. My goal is to get it under $150.00 so I'm checking often!! The couple we're traveling with think I'm a little crazy , but I bet they'll change their tune when I tell them they're half will be under $100 for the week!

DJT - I just recently joined AARP when I hit the big 5-0 and they sent me the coupon with my new member card. Takes a bit of the sting out of being AARP age !!
