For the past three years we have been at Epcot, so I have had the grumps on me that I'm not there this year.. I am reassuring myself that its worth it to be on The Dream in March :thumbsup2

It looks like ours will be very quiet, with plans to watch Alice in Wonderland on Sky Movies, and then Jools Holland. We will have an Indian takeaway and some vino. Ian has offered to go and buy some fireworks from Lidl to try and recreate Illuminations!!

So what plans do you all have?

Happy New Year in advance xxx

No plans for us either, at a push we may drag ourselves round to the local pub, so no Epcot, no Rosa Regales, no dancing with friends and no sticking the party blowers down the front of my top :(

Work asuaul for us
but it usually be's a good night

DH birthday is 1 Jan and mine is 3rd Jan  and as DS is away in America.....

so all thanks to Mr Tesco we are having

2 nights at Canary Wharf Hilton 31/1 and dinner at Livebait (a fish restaurant) in Covent Garden, and lunch at Pizza Express!!!

We will be bringing a bottle of Champers with us to have before we go out on NYE, and will be going back to the hotel to watch the fireworks rather than stay in town (did it a couple of years ago and NEVER again :rotfl:) .
Hopefully a bit of sale shopping or a wander round Oxford Street on New Years Day or 2nd Jan before we come home. :dance3::cheer2:

We are having a quite night in as DW has to be in work on New Years Day.

We are having a quiet night in too with a Chinese takeaway and a bottle of Asti although my eldest DD is looking forward to spending her first NYE out clubbing!

I originally was invited to a party but it was quite a long way away, so I decided to just stay in, however my daughter is at a wedding all day and night as she is filming it for the bride and she has now asked me if I would come along in the evening as her guest, so Ive decided to go, there are fireworks at midnight so it should be lovely:goodvibes

I have to get up for work at 5am tomorrow, as I was today, so it will be an early night for me. Not exactly 'rock and roll' but needs must :goodvibes

not much going on here, going out for a currry and then back home for a few drinks and play kinnex with the boys

Curry, film and alcohol - all at home. I rarely stay awake beyond about 12.15 anyway.:rotfl:

We are going to a friends for dinner and then around to their neighbours house for a party and champagne. Most likely Jooles Holland will be on in the background too.

I am working til 7.30 bout I am going to pick up some chinese on the way home

Quiet night here as well :( Boyfriend is refusing to come to mine as he "doesn't do New Year" and doesn't see what all the fuss is about :rolleyes1 Suppose he's got a point, can't really be bothered myself this year. So just staying in with my parents and a few family members coming round, get a Chinese and play some board games/Wii etc. You'd think I was 83, not 23! LOL

Is it just me though or have most people this year been very much get Christmas and New Year out the way, no one really has seemed bothered this year!

I'm not doing anything, can't wait for next year though because it is going to be great!!

I was working till 7 tonight, had a chinese & having a quiet night in as i'm tired and can't really be bothered with NYE been out the past couple of years & its been a let down so saving m money this year.

Happy new year everyone:goodvibes

as you can see, as i am on here;) nothing amazing happening here either:rotfl2:
we should have been going to friends but cba attack going on, we have been painting DIYing today, and honestly am exhausted.
dh cracked open the lanson and we have had some cocktails and put the little ones to bed...
will be going to bed soon myself, just another evening for me, but i would like to thank the people who work and keep our world moving on these "special" occasions
in the mean time, happy new year to all
tx

we are having a quiet night in- have let off a lantern that landed in the neighbours garden and nearly set fire to their fence, DH in dressing gown and trainers so couldn't go around and save it ... luckily the thing floated goodness. think that is enough excitment for one year!:lmao:

Happy New Year everybody:banana::banana:

DH and I have had a quiet NYE for years now (hardest night of the year to get a sitter). Last night we went to a party at our friends house and we had a great night and didn't wake until past midday which I haven't done for years. Made a lovely change:)
