When I was in the UK years ago, I had fish and chips with malt vinegar and it was sublime.. In America, I just get wings usually unless they have a more extensive menu.
Dh and I go on Fridays to a local casino for a beverage. Sometimes on the weekend we might go to Applebees.
Sorry, read your title wrong Buzz. My go to drink will always be a rum and coke and DH, probably a craft beer. Foods; we usually just do an appetizer as we usually go out early afternoon when and if we do.
Oh sorry! Forgot to name a drink. I rarely drink, but on occasion I go with my sister and brother-in-law to a bar in Wildwood where their nephew tends bar. If I'm there I'll have a couple of Coronas with lime.
Drink wise a captain and ginger. Food wise chicken tenders with fries or fish and chips. Some of the local sports bars have great BBQ ribs as well. If I was on a date (and was driving) I would have a grilled chicken salad and a Sprite.
Our local bar has pub chips, which are thicker and softer than regular potato chips. There must be crack in the oil or something, too, because they are incredibly addictive.

we have a local place that always asks patrons at the dining tables if it's their first visit. if anyone replies 'yes' then that table gets brought a shareable order of the place's in-house potato chips. it's like crack-the first taste is free so freaking good AND the place is smart and makes them such that they do NOT travel well so you realy only want to eat them fresh/in house and while you eat you are prone to eat and drink...
I donβt eat bar food generally but I do love a well mixed cocktail. At a locale where I donβt know what they can do Iβll order a Cosmo or something brown in color straight up.
