Okay...it is a good thing I am about to finish fixing our supper or I'd be raiding the kitchen about now...

I absolutely love the Smores dessert at 50s Prime Time...even make it at home to get a fix...

Our last trip was an "eat your way through the world" trip...we did the Gold Plan...no longer available...but DH, DS who was 11 that trip and I had a blast trying all the different foods...we enjoyed our entire meal at Jiko, but disliked the steaks at the Yachtsman.

The next trip food goal is to get one of those blasted Dole Whips...never had one, but think I must. And if someone can tell me what "Sticky Mickey" is that might tempt me as well.

Thanks for sharing all of the gastro-insight to the world!

Here's my recipe . . .

Graham crackers, chocolate bars (Hershey), large marshmellows

Toast marshmellow; lay square of chocolate bar to cover square of graham cracker. Lay hot marshmellow on top of chocolate and cover with another square of cholocate. Then top that with another square of graham cracker.

So here is the order . . . graham cracker, chocolate, marshmellow, chocolate, graham cracker. It makes a yummy sweet sandwhich. You might as well just directly apply it to your hips!

MGM: A reuben at Sci Fi
AK: Chicken paremsan sandwich at Pizzafari
Epcot: Crepes from France
MK: The bread and butter they serve at LTT and the chocolate bundt cakes at the Main Street Bakery

Plus popcorn and Mickey bars multiple times per day. Best case scenario in my whole world. I have eaten dinner at LTT, then ridden Peter Pan and Splash, watched Spectro and now even though I am not hungry I am eating a Mickey Bar back by Dumbo waiting for Wishes to start. Then off to my resort so I can refill my mug while the kids swim. I am tearing up thinking about it!

Crepes from France
Mickey Bars :mickeybar
Strawberry -minnie- bar
King/Queen dessert in Uk
Most of the boardwalk bakery
The Boardwalk sweet (candy) shop (the name fails me)
Ice cream from Magic kingdom

I'm usually so hungry i don't pay attention to the names of shops or the food itself ...just the taste

I actually cheat and make them year round like 50s PrimeTime...

On a baking sheet place graham crackers, top with chocolate bar, top with marshmallows place in broiler on high for a few seconds...till they start to brown and get all nice and toasty without burning...so in other words...DO NOT leave the oven.

To serve, place on a plate and drizzle with chocolate sauce...good ol' Hersheys works fine and enjoy.

Last Easter I was craving PrimeTime's smores so badly I even used my leftover Peeps as the marshmallow...it worked, but plain ol' Jet Puffed are the best.

When I was a kid we had a gas stove and when Dad wasn't home my mom would let us kids use the BBQ fork and toast marshmallows on the stove to make smores year round...now that I have a ceramic top it works best to do the smores like PrimeTime...in the broiler...or at least that is my guess at how they do it...or they use one of the neat blow torches for cooking to toast the marshmallows....but I'm not sure if that would melt the chocolate bar as nicely.

I am embarrased to ask, but what exactly is a Mickey Bar? Is it just chocolate covered shell over vanilla icecream? :mickeybar

No need to be embarassed, my dear. Yes, a Mickey Bar is a dark chocolate covered shell over vanilla ice cream in the shape of the Mickey icon. YUM! :flower: :mickeybar
