in the parks or at City Walk?

We've never tried Mythos. We always say we will, but then we're too hot to eat anything big and the fast places at Univ and IOA are actually pretty good, especially compared to Disney, in my opinion, but I'd thought maybe I'd put some effort into planning a meal or two this time.

Thanks for any suggestions!

If you like Chicken Fajitas, I love Confisco's grille! Also if you want something quick, the pizza at Louie's is great for theme park pizza. :thumbsup2

Agreed with the PP about Louie's...it's the best theme park pizza around despite what they said on the podcast the other week.

At IoA...I always get the chicken wrap with fries at Thunder Falls Terrace....VERY GOOD!
:thumbsup2

We've gotten the pizza after someone here recommended it, awesome deal, like $18 for 3 of us to share a whole one I think, and it was hot and good.

I was suprised the chicken tender meal was so good at the restaurant by the Popeye ride. DS and I shared it, the portions were big.

Chicken wraps and chicken fajitas sound great, thanks!

I've also wanted to try something at Finnegans.

Volcano Nachos at Margarittaville!

I second the volcano nachos at Margaritaville! And I've loved everything I've eaten at Mythos, I'm particularly fond of the "risotto of the day". Heck, even the bread and butter are delicious!

My favorite is the Kitchen at HRH, I love their Mac n cheese. I was cool with Finnegan's (might go back for the bread alone, LOL), and the seafood place.

Todd is correct re the Pizza! its the only decent pizza in any park in Orlando imo

mythos doesn't have to be a 'heavy meal', i've enjoyed the risotto of the day, onion soup/salad but the Blueberry and Pistachio Crusted Grilled Pork is out of this world (served w/mac & cheese that is amazing & i don't typically eat mac & cheese;))

we like thunderfalls terrace for chicken & ribs (dinner)

finnegans corned beef sammich is good as are the wings

nascar is where we usually wind up when too tired to wait for table elsewhere (margaritaville or bubba gumps), good bar food...was surprised the chili hit the spot & the steaks were done just right.

In the 11 years we've been going (3 of which we lived in Orlando and probably went an average of 1-2 times a week), the only thing I can ever remember getting in any restaurant there that I did not like was the fish tacos at Margaritaville. I realize that isn't specific, but the food even at the counter service places is far superior to anything I've had in any other theme park (I'm not comparing the table service to the counter service). In other words, if it's something you generally like or think you'll like, chances are you're going to love it.

Wow, didn't know you could get ribs anywhere, ds loves them and he also loves wings, so dh could get a pint at Finnegan's while ds has wings, awesome! I'm so glad I asked you all thanks! Sounds like we've got to try Mythos too.

Also, we've never been disappointed with Margaritaville, and once we had the best service there I've ever had. It was 4 adults outnumbered by 5 kids, ages 1,3,5,6,7, yep, you'd think we would have stayed back at the rented villa and ordered in :confused3:lmao: but we didn't.

Granted it was about 4:30ish during the first week of Dec, but our server gave us a huge box of crayons, showed the kids how to make parrot hats, put in their meals first so they'd come out quick, and when it came to desert, he wispered and hinted instead of shouting out "who wants icecream" like they usually do. All our food was hot and really good. I always leave a big tip when we have kids with us, just for aking for refills with the cups with lids on them alone :headache: but I left a really big one and asked for a comment card to fill out.

The Margaritaville in Panama City Beach..."not even close Bud" to the one in CW, so loud you have to shout, terrible service, bad food, so disappointed.

Anyway, thanks, and thanks for all those pictures of the nachos on the other thread, got to try those too. :yay:

The pizza at Louie's really is better than most theme park pizza, especially when compared to Disney. We also like almost everything at Mythos and Finnegan's. Margaritaville has great conch fritters and even burgers.

Louie's does have the BEST theme park pizza!!! We even had their spagetti & meatballs and it was also great.

Citywalk - we enjoyed NBA City

HRH - The Kitchen- Not many options on the menu, but terrific food.

I also enjoyed the food at the HRH pool. I think it was called the Beach Ball.

I would say the top restaurants, imo, on site at US/IOA/CW are:

1. Emeril's Orlando (CW)
2. Bice Ristorante (PB)
3. The Palm (HRH)
4. Emeril's Tchoup Chop (RP)
5. Mythos (IOA) & Latin Quarter (CW)

My 2cents:

Studios
TS-Finnegan's Shepards Pie
CS-Louies best pizza around

IOA
TS-Mytho's Risotto of The Day
CS-Thunder Falls chicken and rib combo

CW
TS-Latin Quarter cuban sandwich with black beans and rice
CS-Burger Kings Whopper Bar

Resort
TS only-Jake's American Bar The Jake's Steak simply awesome

And every place that sells Miller Light!!!:lmao:

This list was hard to come up with. There is so many great places to eat at.
We are going this Monday for a 3night stay at RPR,so this list may change!!!
