I'm leaving in 3 days () and was wondering if a sweatshirt will be enough to keep me warm at night. I'm coming from NJ where it's currently about 10 degrees so I think even a cool Florida night will feel great at this point. Can anyone there now help me out with what to pack? Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you but I think I am just going to pack a sweatshirt, light fleece coat and wear my northface on the plane that should do it I think.

SO EXCITED!!!

Ok the title has me laughing. Out on the board with my iPad all I could see was what are you wearing now? Sounded like some 900 phone number conversation!

Sorry I'm not there and can't help you but it made me laugh.

Actually that is pretty funny. It didn't occur to me when I wrote it. Maybe it will get me more responses!! :thumbsup2

I was thinking a sweatshirt and my northface as well. Weather.com says lows in the mid 40s which is a LOT warmer than it is here so I think I'll be okay...although I do get cold pretty easily (and then I ask myself why I live in NJ)

I was just wondering the same thing!! I am also from NJ, but I was really hoping that we would have mid 70's during the day and upper 50's at night...

Another problem is my prego belly keeps getting in the way of making a purchase on warm weather clothes. What will you be wearing at night? Long sleeves, jeans and a jacket?

What would you be wearing at home in that temperature? How cold is cold to you? How warm is warm to you.

Discounting the summer horrendous humidity, most of the time I have been around Thanksgiving, it "feels" the same in Florida on a 70 degree day as it feels in DE. Or a 50 degree evening. I wore capris and a short sleeved shirt with a lightweight hoodie, because I work outside. My traveling companion didn't tolerate the cold as well and was wearing a coat, hat and gloves, with a long sleeved shirt and jeans.

It is all relative.

So pick out what you would wear if it was 70 degrees at home and you wear the same thing in FL.

I'm going to wear either a short or long sleeved shirt during the day (I'm going to bring a few of each) and throw a sweatshirt over it at night. I think that will be okay...

It's been so ridiculously cold here that 40 or 50 at night doesn't scare me! That's 40 or 50 degrees warmer than here!
