Oh my lord I just finished 50 Shades and 50 Shades Darker. Holy smoke I was ill prepared for the graphicness of the book. Sex aside I really like the actual story. Just starting 50 Shades Freed.

I just started the newest Kingdom Keepers book the other day.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good mystery, thriller, suspense book. I just finished the Stephanie Plum books.

For mystery/suspense - I'm reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King, and it's excellent! I'm not fond of horror, so I've never read any of Stephen King's books. But this one isn't like that. It's a long book, and I'm only half-way thru, but it's really keeping my interest. It's about a man who finds a portal that enables him to travel back in time to 1958, and he's going to try to prevent Lee Harvey Oswald from assassinating President Kennedy. A lot of folks on this thread have read it and they all seemed to like it.

Currently reading Echoes of Honor, by David Weber. Book #8 in the Honor Harrington series.
Along with various cookbooks, and WDW guidebooks.

Finished I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella. I like her books, they're always an easy read and good for quite a few LOL moments. The rom com ending was a little much but I enjoyed it anyway! Next up Baby Proof by Emily Giffin.

I just finished I've Got Your Number also :rotfl: What a nice, fluffy, fun read. I enjoyed it. The ending was pretty hokie but still very enjoyable. I just downloaded a sample of Out Of Time. Sounds pretty good, its about historic time travel. Also finished Tanglewood Plantation..I REALLY loved it. It is also about time travel, back to the Civil War. Last week, I finished Unbroken. I liked it but didn't understand all the hype about it

Well I'm not sure if you've read any of the Millenium series, aka The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, etc, but they're very good reads. I don't know the content of Stephanie Plum books, but the subject matter of these books can get pretty dark. But I felt they lived up to the hype.

I really, really enjoyed this book. I've read all of King's horror novels and while I enjoyed them all, King just never really wrote an ending that I liked (The Stand and It, two of my favorites books - just awful endings). But with 11/22/63, he nailed it. Great book, start to finish. I can't recommend it enough. :thumbsup2

I have a few and haven't read them yet, but have a lot of friends who like to read books written by Harlan Coban for this genre.

How ironic that you mentioned the Stephanie Plum series....I was looking for something to read and stumbled upon Janet Evanovich. Just can't decide which series to start; Stephanie Plum or the Wicked.

This should give me enough books to read this summer! :goodvibes

Working on Night Circus right now. It's kind of quirky, very different...but I like it.

Just finished a YA book, "the future of us" about a girl in 1997 that gets an aol disc for her computer and it takes her to her Facebook account in 15 years. Very fun!

Read the first two 50 Shades books and didn't really like them, but kept on with the series because it was unintentionally funny and bad. I'm about 200 pages into the 3rd book and it is SO BAD that I don't think I will be able to finish it...

Any reccomendations for something to read? I have The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides queued up on my ereader because he is the author of my favorite book ever, Middlesex, but I don't know if I am in the mood to read that right now. Any suggestions?

You found it graphic? I thought it was ok but nothing majorly out there sex wise.

I guess I don't usually read books having that much sex.... except for Bertrice Small, she's been known to make me blush.

As for the 3rd book I am having trouble getting through it. "I love you" "You're my world" "I want to protect you from everything" etc. I'm really hoping we stop arguing having makeup sex and never figure out what all of his issues are.

I admit, no interest in 50 Shades.

But OMG, I just finished the Night Circus! Wow!!!! I really didn't think I'd like it, but it is so vivid and beautiful. Will make a great movie!!!

Just don't know what to do next.

About a quarter of the way through Divergent. So far so good. I guess post-apocolyptic books are all the rage now?
