I really enjoyed the second Emily Giffin book, Something Blue :thumbsup2

I loved that book. I have both Baby Proof and Heart of the Matter too, which I still have to read.

Right now I'm reading Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis.

I haven't posted in a while, but I'll skip the books I've read in the meantime. I'm reading a biography of William Wilberforce now. It's called William Wilberforce: The Life of the Great Anti-Slave Trade Campaigner by William Hague. I watched the movie "Amazing Grace" and decided to read a little more about him. I'm trying, especially, to figure out why they called the movie "Amazing Grace."

Just finished Same Kind of Different As Me. I liked it, evangelicalism (is that a word?) aside.

Now I'm on to Time is a River by Mary Alice Monroe. So far, so good.

I won't be reading Fifty Shades of Grey, just as I didn't read any of the Twilight books. Just not something I think I'd like.

Let us know how you like "Time is a River" after you finish. I've loved all the Mary Alice Monroe books I've read, but somehow I missed this one.

I'm reading The Mill River Recluse right now. It's slow for me, but I'm hoping it picks up soon.

I am reading The Zookeeper's Wife by Diane Ackerman

I just started it. Enjoying it so far. I like the way she describes their way of life.

I just finished The Mill River Recluse. After a slow start, it got really interesting and I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed it!

I am starting Promise Me This, which was a Nook freebie.

I am about 4 chapters into Stephen Kings "11 22 63"...and I have to say it's starting off a bit slow for me...I hope it picks up.

Currently reading Ape House, by Sara Gruen, the author of Water For Elephants.

I loved Water For Elephants but am struggling with this one. It's almost as if there are 2 books in one & I'm just waiting for them to come together. There is just a real disconnect for me in the storytelling.

Finished Secret Lives by Diane Chamberlain a couple of days ago and started to read Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes. Thank goodness it was a public holiday here yesterday because I could not put it down. Finished it late last night and absolutely loved it. I was gripped all the way through. In fact, I feel a little sad that I have finished it especially as, despite having almost 100 books waiting to be read on my Kindle, I really don't know what to read next.

I'm about a quarter of the way through Sophie Kinsella's I've Got Your Number. Really enjoying it so far. Quite a few moments have made me LOL. Love her books!

I finished The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Sunday and started Bloom: Finding Beauty in the Unexpected by Kelle Hampton yesterday. I love her blog. So far the book is a really emotional read.

I'm reading the new Kingdom Keepers book (Shell Game, Book V) by Ridley Pearson.

I'm just finishing this one up as well. I have enjoyed it (same light reading like the rest of the series) but I am getting bothered by the mistakes. Um, 1 - the water in the Aquaduck is not left running after it closes and 2 - there is no Parrot Cay on the Dream :rotfl:

I just finished The Descendants.

Now I had not watched the movie but knew George Clooney was cast in the part of the husband so that is who I visualised when reading.
This proved a problem.

Who on gods green earth thought it was believable to cast George Clooney as a guy whos wife had an affair !!!!!

Really....really.

I saw the movie & actually really liked George Clooney in the role.

I have not read the book yet but I did see the movie and I agree, I thought Clooney did an awesome job in that role.

I'm starting "The Year of Living Biblically". Not sure how it's going to be, as reviews are mixed on it. Guess we'll see!

What did you think of "The Book Thief"? It remains one of my all-time favorite books, one I think of very frequently.

Finished it! I liked it. Now I'm reading Escape by Anna Fienberg. It's just "eh" so far, and I'm 1/2 way through it. The main character is just a wimp and her husband is a whiny, ego-maniac. The storyline just drags along...ugh.

Ok so within the last few days I have read the Fifty Shades trilogy and Annie Rice Exit to Eden. I'm currently reading Warm Bodies- zombie romance and the first book in the Game of Thrones Series. Any suggestions of something to add to the list?

Finished I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella. I like her books, they're always an easy read and good for quite a few LOL moments. The rom com ending was a little much but I enjoyed it anyway! Next up Baby Proof by Emily Giffin.
