What are you paying for your airfare?

Well, my fare from BDL was holding steady at 160 pp each way. Tonight it went down to 130.00 so I grabbed it.

I am flying out of BDL to MCO and back I found the same thing. I paid $155 down, that was about 5 weeks ago. Then I jumped on today and saw $130 to come home. So I bought that with Southwest points.

So I paid $157 for a family of 7 to fly roundtrip NonStop Direct with SWA, August 25-Sept 2.

We'll be there the same time we're staying at POP Century Aug 25th-Sept 3rd :)

Yesterday afternoon at work I was checking Phila. to MCO. I found good flight times and a fare of $264/ticket. This is way more than I'm use to paying. I figured well when I get home, I'll be able to look on more sites. Well, I checked again last night and the price had gone up to $299/ticket. Ugggh, I should've jumped on the tickets when I first saw them! No matter how expensive you may think the prices are, they will always increase.

paid $35 for 3 r/t nonstops! would only have been $15 but I paid for EBCI for DH so he could get the carseat installed before DGS and I board. AND I have almost enough points for 3 more rt flights! Signed DH up for the RR
Visa when they were offering 50,000 points after the initial purchase, well worth the $69 annual fee!!

to bring this into perspective, while prices have jumped, I do believe it matters when you book for many routes and the size/competition in your market.

From last Dec to early January, I watched airfare to Vegas & from SNA more than double over what I had paid.

May:

PIT to SJU on connecting flight on AT - in January for $120 pp, it went up to $540 pp over a month ago.

SJU to PIT on AT - same as above but it 'only' doubled ha

MCO to PIT on SWA - i had a credit but cost would've been $105 pp, now $180 pp.

October, for dates around columbus day:

PIT to MCO on SWA - paid $110 down pp end of February , now it's $204pp!
Find it odd that i'm on a flight that leaves before 6 am:rolleyes:wanted the 11:30 am one but it hasn't budged a bit...still $158pp.:confused3

MCO to PIT on SWA - had another credit would've cost $110 pp, now $180 pp

I never did find those great under $100 deals from PIT to MCO route unless we traveled weekdays, but consider myself lucky to have timed it right seeing the current prices.

We are on Southwest. We are going on June, leaving here on a Thursday and returning on a Saturday. I paid $102 each way direct/non-stop from NC. Previously I could usually get a $99 or $100 outbound flight, but usually paid $125 or $150 for the return. I was glad to get $102 both ways this time. We have an 8am flight going (wanted 9, but no biggie), 3:30pm flight returning. Taxes and fees included it was $646 for 3 of us, but hey, no bag fees.

Thanks to this site, I booked the first day the dates were available. I checked out of curiosity and today still nearly 2 months out, our flights are now $191 for the outbound and $180 for the return. And that is before taxes and such. :scared:

big jump, eek

just for general info, the law has changed & the price now appearing on the SWA website (and the airlines) before you click to purchase now includes the taxes/fees to make things easier to compare - hooray.:)

I just bought my tickets at SW. A MILLION THANKS to whoever mentioned getting a $20 discount per person with mycokerewards.

For our trip Jun 16 to 25 I got $130 going to Orlando and $110 coming back, so $240/person RT. The times are not ideal but not horrible. Ic ould have gotten $110 going if we left 6/14 but then we run into the no room at the disney resort problem.

Still expensive compared to earlier years but cheap compared to the other fares on there.

I got the SW card too with the bonus points :goodvibes

....Well we officially booked ours through United for $400pp....That's without bags. So the grand total is at $900 with bags and without trip insurance because even though I checked YES for it, it didn't go through.

I'm SO :furious: with United's website!!! I couldn't see one of the seat maps to select our seats so I had to call not once but twice before I could get someone who knew I was talking about. Then I got told this: "It is a new flight and so you won't be able to see it and select your seats until 24hrs before".

I doubt that's 100% accurate but whatever. :headache:

I still can't believe our trip insurance didn't go through either! It was $39.98 for the 2 of us during checkout and now it will cost us $70.00 to add it on. Unbelievable.

.....I'm never playing the waiting game again ever again! :sad2: Good luck to everyone else now, seriously. :flower3:
