I do plan on looking into selling my plasma here soon to get myself anothet 250 dollar gift card to go towards my 2013 cruise. I will have enough gift cards paid on the cruise by then. I think this is a great way to get some disney money without having to go into debt. My credit card days are over. Only debit from now own. We are going to disney on ice in october. We always go and my child loves it. I will keep yall abreast when I settle the other cards.

frankly, i think you should use that plasma money to see a psychiatrist. I only suggest that because you can't buy morals.

I hope your gift cards melt before you use them & you lose your receipt. Then I hope you get stuck in traffic & miss the ship.

That would serve you right. Karma is a **tch.

I'm still confused on where God is with the whole stealing thing???? Or is that like the pirate code.... More of a guideline?

To bad so sad, they are already on a deposit for my next cruise. No money on the cards. And traffic won't be a problem either, always stay near the port the night before. I was very serious when I posted just what my family has done and will be doing regarding our debt, but I must admit that I have been laughing so hard this afternoon at this that my side is sore. I never imagined this. Keep it coming.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh, don't you worry about me, now. Enjoy your free ride now because it won't last.

I wish you a lifetime of ironing quesadillas in your hotel room.;)

Lol, I don't doubt you are serious. I'm thinking troll, and not worth the time or energy.

I feel so sorry for your poor kids. I hope they are little so there is time for you to be a mother they can respect. But if they are not small -are you teaching them how to steal? Just what this country needs...more juvenile delinquents.

You disgust me.
I don't care if that earns me points.

I did forget to mention that I have about 2500 bucks worth of medical bills that I do plan on settling on as well. We did look at filing BK. But we were in the 100% payback and I really did'nt see the point of filing for chapter 13. What do you think of Dave Ramsey or Donald Trump who have also filed for BK?

DH and I have resorted to at-home date nights. We have family members who love to watch DD, but instead of going out for dinner and a movie, we watch a movie from our DVR and eat frozen pizza.

We NEVER eat out....and I only spend about $200 a month on groceries.

We rarely participate in costly entertainment.....DD and I entertain ourselves by going to the library, a park, or the play center at the mall.

I have an in-home daycare, and DD and I don't go very many places, so we spend about $20 a week in gas.

Although we have more CC debt than we should, we are paying it off, and we have stopped charging. Yes, we are going to the World this Fall, but it will all be paid for in cash. We could put it on our debt, and maybe we should, but after a really hard year (I got severely sick last year on our vacation, and my entire body shut down/DH and I went through some really tough times and almost divorced, but went to counseling and we're working things out), we decided to spend family time (and our vacation is only costing about $1200 for the full week).

I answer surveys, use mysurvey, mypoints, and rewardtv to earn gift cards that have gone for our vacation, or as gifts.

my proudest moment today was being able to purchase the wallpaper i want for my bathroom ($90) for FREE with rewards points. :)

I just settled with Citibank for 7 grand on a 14 grand credit card debt. Going to do the same with Chase next year for around the same amount, or hopefully even less.:thumbsup2 My brother and his wife have done the same thing this year, and it has really worked out well for them so far.

No wonder you can pay for all those trips.

Well I am proud. I am going to be able to my money back on track. I plan on doing this next year on several accounts that I am currently defaulting on now. Also, I won't be getting all of the 1099s that I will be due in one tax year. I will spread it out over two tax years. We usually get back around 10 grand, so I know we will get back a couple thousand less but with that money I can settle on my other cards in full. Hopefully for around 40%.

My sayin is Don't be a hater,
Be a motivator,
Settle your debt too and
follow me to Disney

I don't know whether to laugh hysterically at your ignorance or be disgusted by it. :sad2:

Yup, going with disgusted.

You don't pay for credit card freeloaders if you don't keep a balance on your credit cards. The only way they can really make other people pay for their bad debt is to raise rates for everyone.

Furthermore, if you don't want to pay for "freeloaders" you probably should opt-out of insurance, too, because the risk pool (and hence your premiums) are increased by people who lead irresponsibly unhealthy lifestyles.

To some degree, sharing responsibility for other people's misdeeds is just a fact of life in a civilization. I agree that we should try to minimize it where we can, but some amount of it is inescapable.

You are comparing insurance to credit card debt! Give me a break, two completely different things.

I don't care if that earns me points.

The funniest part about all this is that the previous poster has now changed her signature from "God/Family/Disney What else is there?" to "I settled 14 grand worth of credit card debt for 7 grand!! And will be settling more next year!!!". (including a dancing banana!)

My proudest moment was not pulling all of my IRA/401K money out of the market back when the Dow went down to 6500. I remember the dot.com bust and that was nothing like this. It was a nailbiter, but I'm glad we stayed and kept contributing.

Cheap things I've done in the recent past:
Gotten rid of cable/dish in favor of Netflix (still cheaper even with the price increase)
Bake our bread
Garden/Can
Shop the sales
Stop myself from shopping the sales if I really don't need it
Driving a 12 year old van with a door that doesn't work (and yelling "noo!! don't use that side" to all my kids friends)
When we go out to eat (occasionally) we leave the kids at home, it's much cheaper that way. And with a teenager and a tween, I don't need a sitter (and you know how expensive it is to feed them)

We garden and make many of our things homemade. We also make trades with people when we need something done. For example, the plumber did some work in our bathroom in exchange for our double jogging stroller that we were no longer using because he needed one for his two kids.

Something creative.... my husband likes to drink beer and I am a wine drinker. We learned how to make our own at a fraction of the cost!:thumbsup2

I have no opinion of Donald Trump. But I don't want anyone to think Dave Ramsey advocates settling credit card debt while taking expensive vacations.

We decided to take on the rough economy...start another business, hire some people, provide work for vendors - this economy needs new business (one of many things) in order to get going again. Instead of merely trying to survive, get active in your community and support those local/small businesses!
