I am kind of surprised by how many people I know who are having a take away on xmas eve, it's not something I'd thought of up to now.

So what are you having?

We are having beef and yorkshires, followed by warm mince pies and cream. :goodvibes

We had chinese last year as lots of family members came to visit so we all scooted down to the local chinese buffet . It was lovely :thumbsup2

Normally we have soup and a kind of buffet with nice bread and cold meats and pate and cheeses and a scrummy pud - usually somehting like sticky toffee pud with custard ;)

and I also have to have a glass of mulled wine :-)

We're having a mini party! I've got lots of party packs from Iceland and we're going to have a selection from those, with some Christmas TV and songs :goodvibes

We always have a chinese takeaway. I spend most of the day baking - mince pies, sausage rolls, etc - and making my stuffing and prepping the veg so it's nice not to have to cook on Christmas Eve :thumbsup2

I agree with that - I usually get a pizza or something that can just be shoved in the oven quickly as I dont want to spend ages cooking.

Most likely a Chinese! :goodvibes

Although I don't really know as I have to work tomorrow and I also said I'd go to the pub, lol.

I'm not sure what we are having. We are going to our best friends to have dinner and exchange gifts, so what ever they are cooking!!

Talking of take aways at Christmas, my assistant at work goes to the local Indian on Christmas day. She refuses to cook that day (the one day a year she has off) and her 2 adult sons and her husband can't cook, so they all go out for a curry!!

We will have Chinese take away, have done for many years. Although it will be me cooking Xmas dinner this year so my mum can have a break:thumbsup2

We always have a takeaway too as spending time preparing veggies, stuffing, trifle base on Christmas Eve is enough. Still undecided if its chinese, indian or pizza though. Usually all the takeaway menus come out and its decision time around 5pmish:santa:

we will be having a takeaway too, whilst I am cooking our Christmas ham :santa::santa:

As we are both working today - it's pizza for lunch and dinner :rotfl: we get a large one and just munch on it all day :goodvibes I can't wait to see some Christmassy TV shows so far the only one I've seen is Celebrity Come Dine with Me - I wish they would put more festive shows on before Christmas day :santa:

Not sure yet lots to choose from, I am working today also.

We are having some home made hot pot, fresh apple pie, lemon merangue, fresh bread rolls and mince pies delivered from our local bakery this morning - so will probably have some of that.
Joshua loved the hot pot last time we bought some. :)

Whatever is in! There's a Costco veggie lasagne in the fridge that's up today so probably that :) I no longer have to work today (our numbers are so low and with the snow/poor driving conditions my manager said don't risk the journey from Liverpool to the Wirral just for 3 hours work :goodvibes)

We always have Shepherd's Pie on Xmas Eve. Not sure why but it has become a tradition. :goodvibes
