What are you favorite treats to get at Buc-ees?

I am happy that between Buc-ees adding CCS1 DCFC chargers and Ford EV gaining access to most Tesla DCFC chargers that we were able to stop at a Buc-ees to charge for our last trip. By the time we walked into the store, picked out what we wanted, paid, and walked back to the car, it was charged several percent past what we needed to finish our trip.

I was so jealous when we'd pass by them to go to a nearby charger on our way to Florida... was THRILLED when they added chargers to a couple on our way. Now it's a must stop!

My favorite treat is to drive PAST a Buc-ees, so add me to your (short) list!
You can add us to the list as well. If an employee has to be "directing traffic" in the bathroom, there are too many people in the bathroom for me. We're more of a quick rest stop family. We're not shopping and standing in line to buy stuff at a rest stop. The only way we stop at a Buc-ees is if we need a rest stop or gas and there is nothing else around.

I think my family are the only ones who aren’t fans.
I am a truck driver and since Buc-ees is anti truck driver, we do not support the company.

They need trucks to get all the stuff they sell but they refuse to allow trucks to stop in to get some food and a break.

We aren't asking them to allow extended parking or anything but the company is so anti truck driver that some of the locations refuse to let the drivers that are delivering goods to them come in and use the restroom or grab a bite to eat.

Never heard of it, but reminds me of the old Stuckey’s on the east coast.
Similar but Buc-ees is enormous and they hate truck drivers.

We have Buc-ees popping up on the East Coast now.

One in Florence, SC, a handful in Florida, got one coming to Mebane, NC. They just opened one in Sevierville, TN

Not a fan of the eggs they use in their breakfast sandwiches. Just gross to me. Love their sweet tea.

We always stop at them when traveling to Disney and to my hometown in Alabama. We always get a brisket sandwich, and sweet tea. We also like the fudge, the chocolate chip cookie dough balls, the candied nuts, the chocolate covered raisins. So so on the jerky and beaver nuggets.

Heard their ice coffee bar is incredible.

Pickled okra.

And not a road snack, but their candied jalapeños mixed with cream cheese and Ritz crackers: yummy!

DH seems to be obsessed with going to a Bucees. There are none around here. To bother him, I point out random gas stations and tell him they are like the “new Bucees”. He is not amused.

We stopped for the first time a few years ago when they opened one on 95 in SC. Dh and I each got a breakfast sandwich and let’s just say we spent the rest of the ride visiting many other rest areas on the way back to MA. Won’t be doing that again!

While it was fun to see what all the hype was about, we prefer quicker stops and usually bypass them now.

On our last trip to Florida we were super-excited to stop at Buc-ees, and we even read reviews on their food! Thoughts:
- The gas prices were the lowest we saw on our trip -- seeing lots of local license plates was a good hint that it's a good value. We'd seek them out again just for gas.
- The bathrooms are wonderful -- yes, gas store bathrooms! Large, full doors, and clean -- really clean.
- The sheer quantity of snacks and the unexpected items: a whole wall of jerky, cups of pre-cut fruit -- from healthy to candy, they genuinely offer something for everyone.
- We bought some of the ubiquitous Buc-ees -- what do they call that most famous snack? -- and it was just okay. I'd rather have simple popcorn, and they were expensive -- I think $4.99 for a medium-sized bag.
- But the food is expensive.
- We each bought a sandwich -- I tried the brisket, and I can't remember what my husband had -- and we were underwhelmed. While they weren't bad, they were not as good as, say, a burger from Wendy's. And they were expensive for what they were -- I want to say $8-9 each. They were large. Not something I'd go out of my way to buy again.
- One note about drinks -- on the way down to Florida my husband asked me to pick him up a Coke, so I picked up a screw-top from the case. It was just over $3. On the way back home he asked for the same, and this time I chose a fountain soda, which was 79 cents. Big difference.

I think my family are the only ones who aren’t fans.

You mean you don't walk around proudly wearing your "Bucee's" shirt? Or just a shirt with the Bucee's mascot on it-because of course everyone knows who it is? We encounter someone wearing a shirt like that often.

Eh. I wasn’t impressed. It was a giant cluster F to get into and maneuver the parking lot. A huge convenience store that also sells clothing, gifts, seasonal stuff, and souvenirs . I do admit the bathrooms were large and clean.

The fudge was pretty much inedible and whatever other food we bought wasn’t worth remembering.
