What are you doing NYE?

So what's everyone doing NYE? I am hanging at home with the family, playing board games, eating apps, and in a bit I will be breaking out the beer.

The family will be heading to my sisters soon. Apps, dinner, games and movies and some egg nog martinis! yum.

Well bought some delicious desserts and cookies from a wonderful Italian bakery. SO good.......

Then we are grilling some chicken right now for later. We are having storms and rain roll through so got get that in. It is 60degrees here! Nuts!

Then I plan on making some quesdillas and some canapes.

I also bought "Epic Mickey" for the Wii and plan to tackle it.

DS has two friends over. DD is away on a ski trip. We're going to pick up KFC for dinner and then munch on snacks and sparkling cider later on tonight.

DH hooked up the x-box to our large pull down movie screen that we use for our movie nights (with a projector), so the boys are going to have very large screen xbox games with surround sound tonight. There will also be some serious Nerf gun battles. We'll all watch the ball come down at midnight.

We'll be safely tucked in by 10:30 because we have a bird count starting at 6:30 am tomorrow.

Since we have ice, snow and below 0 wind chill so we are staying in! Having some little smokies, fried mac n cheese (Trader Joe's) and Cheesecake. Going to work on our Just Dance 2 and watching some new movies we got for Christmas... Grown Ups and Eat Pray Love.

We always stay home- having Maine lobster- we'll probably rent a movie off pay per view- and we'll probably be in bed well before midnight! LOL

I am currently home alone enjoying the peace and quiet.

Originally I was going to the NJ Devils game (Hockey) with DH and DS9(huge hockey fan), we had awesome seats 4 rows behind the Devils bench (thanks to a very generous friend-the seats cost $250 each, he is a season ticket holder and couldn't use the seats so he gave them to us because he knows DS is a major Devils fan). Anyway, I am home and DH is at the game with DS9 and DD14. DD14 wasn't going to the game because she had plans but, her plans fell through at the last minute so I gave my ticket to her.

When they come home we will relax and watch some the New Years Eve festivities on TV and maybe play some board games.

DH and I have never gone out on NYE. It's always a quiet night in, some appetizers, a drink or two and watch the ball drop in NYC.

We usually turn in right after midnight-- Aren't WE the fun couple?

We're staying in and having our usual junk food: mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, veggies/dip and then chocolate fondue! We'll toast with sparkling white grape juice at midnight.

Apparently I'm entertaining DD's new boyfriend. This was not my plan until about 10 minutes ago.

My dh is working.. I am taking my ds13 and his friend to the roller rink for a lock in at 9 then its just me and the 2 little ones dd6 and ds7... So basically i'll be on here

We're gonna have a "Psych" marathon, champagne, hockey & football on TV, filet mignon, lobster tails....that'll be it for our NYE! (we saw "Tangled" this afternoon - cute movie.)
