What are YOU doing for yourself to keep the "normal" in your lives?

I know it's difficult to be "normal" in these trying times, but I wondered what others are doing to help keep it normal as possible?

I find that I need to do my daily routine, as if I am going to town, doctor, whatever, as in my every day life before the Virus.
I put on full makeup (foundation, concealer, powder, eye makeup, lipstick) the whole works each morning, just like I would if I was going somewhere. I get dressed in the clothes I would wear if I had an appointment, trip to town, etc.
I know I don't Have to do this, but I find it makes me feel better about myself and the situation if I do this. I guess this routine is important in my keeping things normal.
I know that most people do a lot to try to keep things normal for their families, loved ones, but what do YOU do for yourself?

You guys win!
I haven't put on make-up in 3 weeks!!!
My usual routine is being a full-time grandma, watching my sons 2 yr old all day and picking up my 2 older grandkids from school.
Picking up the 2 big ones ended 3 weeks ago. :sad2:
My daughter in law is working from home starting this week, so the baby is all confused.
I try to keep him upstairs in the loft while she works at the dining room table. If he hears her he goes to the gate and wants to go down.
Today is the first day we were back to normal kinda, he hadn't napped all week. I felt like a champ when he fell asleep at 12:30.
Poor baby is all confused.

I still have a certain amount of my job functions I'm performing. My husband and oldest daughter are doing their normal job functions from home. Younger DD is doing her college coursework. I'm filling my extra time during the workday by doing what cleaning I can do quietly and keeping tabs on my mother, in-laws and keeping in touch with friends and family a bit too.

I haven’t worn makeup or work clothes since the week before spring break. When they had us make assignments for distance learning I did the whole go to my office and stay there during work hours doing stuff. Then in our zoom meeting I asked a bunch of questions and was told I needed to slow down. I’m a planner and have to have a to do list and schedule. We are getting a lot of “wait and see” and that doesn’t work with my personality. But I’ve dialed it back. Watching more tv, reading more books, listening to music, sitting outside. Basically it’s summer unless someone tells me to do something.

We get takeout twice a week, like we always have. Luckily, we have a few places that are order over the phone, pay over the phone, remote pickup after you text that you are there. We don't have to get near anyone. It's keeping a few more people employed, and keeping us out of the grocery store for a few more days.

I'm lucky in that I'm still working full-time, but from home so that keeps me in a routine.

I start work at my normal time. I shower and get dressed. I don't wear my work clothes because, no need to wear a skirt, hose, and heels in the house, but I am getting out of my robe. Still doing my hair and putting on makeup, albeit it is less than normal. It just makes me feel less hagard. I stick to a lunch and signing off schedule and then make meals as I would if we were working.

Nothing is normal anymore. I did great the first week and then it all went downhill. I feel so lazy and lethargic. Maybe I do need to get some routine going to avoid feeling so blah.

Honestly, my normal routine is just shot. I was just thinking about this and telling myself that tomorrow I need to turn that around. It's been 3 weeks and I need some of my normal routine back. Primarily time to get in my normal amount of exercise. I feel lousy from missing so much of it. I feel like I'm just sitting around supervising, feeding, or entertaining kids all day. I hope we'll see warmer weather soon. That will help with that, too, since we'll be outside more. :)

I shower and get dressed, but I'm not doing hair or makeup unless I have a zoom meeting. And by get dressed I mean leggings and tops. I wore jeans yesterday for first time in a couple weeks. Grateful they were comfortable instead of too tight!

Definitely plan to indulge in one of my guiltiest of pleasures this evening....

Real Housewives of New York starts tonight!!!:banana::banana:

My wife has noticed that I actually do very little. I've done yard work, spent more time with the kids, cooked more but I've also done a lot of nothing. I've had the last several days off and have to go back to work tomorrow. It's actually been really nice having a break. I went to the grocery store today and went to one a little further away because it's near my favorite Chinese restaurant. I was going to place a takeout order but they are now only open during dinner hours so that was kind of a bummer.

The one thing I actually really want to do is finish the latest season of Ozark but that's hard to do with little kids around.

The same things I do all the time, as a stay at home mom/housewife, with a tremendous amount of time on my hands:

I make myself go out for at least a short walk every day. Even if it's just 10 minutes, I feel better for getting outside. We live by a trail (that runs by a heavily traveled road) so occasionally I'll just hop onto it (from the edge of our apartment parking lot to the trail is a 2 ft strip of grass and no fencing). I'll walk the trash up to the dumpster (10 minutes there and back total), or go up to check mail (20 minute there and back total). Anything to give me a few minutes to myself and some fresh air.

Also, I shower. Even if I am doing nothing, have zero plans, and don't think I stink, I will still shower. I only need to shave once a week (Dorco razor blades are the best) and I don't have to wash my hair but every 3rd day (2nd day if I do something like fry fish and fries for a meal, or if I do up my hair and use any product). And I use a variety of products, so I'm not always feeling the same. Love Beauty and Planet shampoos and conditioners (right now I have 3 kinds to rotate through: Indian Lilac & Clove Leaf; Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower; and Charcoal & Bergamot. For soap, I have LB&P Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang body wash and Tea Tree Oil & Velvetier; Raw Sugar's Lemon Sugar; and St Ives Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange and Sea Salt & Pacific Kelp body washes.

I take time to read what I want; watch the shows I want; eat and drink stuff that I like; all that stuff even if no one else in the house does them. Do my jigsaw puzzles (Ravensberger Disney and Thomas Kinkade Disney).
