I was just wondering if you reward yourself for hitting certian goals, and what you are planning on doing (or what you have done), i.e. buying new clothes, or getting a facial, etc.

For me, when I hit 150 (though not my total goal) I will have lost a total of 75 pounds (I'm 24.4 pounds away!) I'm going to get this tattoo on my lower back that I've been wanting to get ever since my first diet back in 2002!!! Its an Asian designed Panda, and I will also have some bamboo, cherry blossoms, and Chinese writing around it.

So what about you??

I get a trip to WDW and a very happy husband!!! But for mini-goals....I've been buying clothes for our trip......Oh I forgot, and lots of shoes...especially sandals.

For my mini goals I've been doing massages. I figure my body deserves a little pampering every now and then.

As for my "big" goal, I'm going to get professional pictures taken with my DS. :goodvibes I know that doesn't sound too exciting, but since I've gained the weight I've been happy to be the picture taker and not the takee.

I have tons of pictures of him, but hardly any of just the two of us. He's already 9 and I don't want to miss out on any more opportunities to document both of us during his childhood.

Mini Rewards: Buy smaller clothes and of course my DL trips planned for Sept, Oct, Nov. and Dec.

My big reward (when I lose 100lbs!)

I love the idea of the pictures with your son! I also have been camera shy...

I have lost 30.2 lbs with 26 more to go. At each change in 10 lbs (210, 200, 190, etc.) I am buying myself one new outfit. I am also going through my closet and removing stuff that is too big and mostly giving it to charity. I do not want to ever wear it again and leaving it there would allow me to go back up as I would still have clothes to wear. It is exciting as my first outfit is now almost too big.

And lastly, I buy an inspirational item. It is too small. My first one was a mistake - it was a skirt I ordered in European sizes and it was way too small. Couldn't even zip it. I left it in the front of my closet and tried it on every week. First, could get the hook and eye closed, then zip it, but too tight to wear in public, two weeks ago, I wore it! This week it is a little looser. I just bought another skirt - same company a size smaller - can barely close the hook and eye. But I know I will be zipping it soon!! This really, really motivates me.

This works for me as I don't need to worry about seasonal stuff as I live in FL.

I just started my workout and diet plan. I've been on it for 2 weeks. My body is already starting to feel better. Right now my short term goal is to buy a nice pair of jeans for the fall ...but only a size smaller. Then after that I'll make another goal. If I do it slowly and expect less then I'll be really suprised if I get to buy a pair of jeans that are 2 sizes smaller!!

Kudos to those who have reached their goals already!

As far as weight loss goals, I am only 5 pounds away from my goal weight but I am shooting for another 10 pound loss. I want to allow myself a cheat meal that I have been neglecting myself for so long and then I will get right back to it.

Today, I was able to treat myself to a mini reward. I have hit a weight loss total of 35 pounds since February so today I went to one of the spas in town and a wonderful hour long massage. She never got off my back and shoulders. (Turned out that she works out at the same gym I do. Can we say "It's a Small World After All!"?

I have 50 more pounds to lose, but my "goal reward" is to get my belly button pierced!! I know that may seem strange, but if I am going to work so hard to get a nice flat tummy, then I want to adorn it with some cute bling. I thought about the tatoo, but it is permanent where the piercing can be taken out in the future.

Im really not a clothes person (I wear uniforms at work) so I don't go crazy on that. I prefer to shop on ebay than anywhere else, although it is nice to no longer have to shop in plus sizes!

Gosh, when I loose the weight, feeling better about myself will be its own reward! But if we can afford it at that point, I'd love to say a disney cruise!

I love pedicures as a mini goal - I like to set them as rewards for staying on plan for a month at a time instead of for a certain amount lost. I think doing something that makes me feel polished (har har no pun intended) and pretty and has nothing to do with weight is awesome.

I also like to have my brows waxed for the same reason...no reason I shouldn't try to be pretty and put together while losing!

My major reward will be a DCL cruise.

Hi all...I would say that I need a lot of motivation...and I love to travel...and I am just beginning this weight loss seriously...again...I have been just serious in my brain...and not in action...

I have 125 pounds to lose and here are my thoughts... I can do math a little and if I divide that by 26...I get just under 5 pounds... :teacher:

For every 5 pounds I lose..I get something that inspires me that begins with a letter of the alphabet...1st 5 is A...2nd 5 is B...etc...

Then for my 20 pound increments...I will go overnight to a B&B with someone special... and the destination will be a city that begins with that letter...can be local...so the first city will be D...hmmm...love me some Denver :lmao: ...is the Dominican Republic a city? How bout Dublin! Haven't been there for over 5 years now...:confused3 ...ok...I know...just sayin...trip planning and eating do not go well together because we all try and lose a bit for a trip..so if they are closer together...that may help the motivation...even 25 minutes away is still away...

So whatcha think???

I have spent the money with fast food, I have spent the money on foods my body doesn't need...but now..it is time to spend it on me...the inner me...

Then after it is all gone...I am sailing around the Virgin Islands on a catamaran...that is a for sure...even if it is just a week...

I have a whole list.

Currently I am 2.6 lbs away from taking a segway tour. I love those things! :lovestruc
5 lbs later I am enrolling in a pilates reformer class. They are expensive, so I have just been taking the free pilates mat classes at my gym. This is a duel reward, fun and more exercise
One-derland warrants me a $700 scrapbook machine. I love scrapbooking!
5 lbs after that is planning a trip to Disney (we want to go early 2009 so I need to get cracking!)
5 lbs after that I am getting myself a personal trainer (since I suspect weight loss will be getting a LOT harder at that point)
5 lbs after that I am getting my fiancé (probably then husband) into dance lessons
5 lbs after that I am signing up for horseback riding lesson. I rode equestrian on my college team, but have not been on the back of a horse since then
5 lbs after that, I am renting out a roller rink and have a private party. I have not been on skates since high school but I used to compete in roller dance as a kid and loved it
Goal is a whole new wardrobe including a bikini! :scared:

A lot of my rewards are exercise based (pilates, personal trainer, dance lessons, horse back riding), but they are expensive and so I never felt "worthy" of paying for them.
