I am a newbie and wondering what are these codes you all are talking about?
(probably a dumb question)
Do you have to be a AAA member?
Are they for everyone?
How do you find out about codes and about how much do they discount your room?

Codes are what Disney comes out with for discounted rooms/ specials. As far as I can tell from watching the history of this last code that came out. The disney visa cards holders got a code first, then AP holders (annual pass) came out a few days later, then general public. People were able to save $$ off room rates.It was worth checking. Best way to watch for a code that may apply to you is find the thread that applies to the month you want to travel and post on it. You will see people saying things like subscribing or looking for a code etc... everytime someone post on that thread you get it in your email. So you can watch for the code that way.

AAA rates are booked thru AAA. When I booked my room I found it beneficial to become a member $61 fee. But I saved a couple of hundred. So call AAA and see if that helps you. They will give you a quote if you ask for it. They also told me if a code comes out I will need to call and have it applied. There are some Travel agencies talked about on this board that people said the TA automatically applied it for them. Travel agencies I believe can apply your AAA membership to your resie as well.
