What are the worst traffic flow choke points?

I will be using an ECV for our upcoming trip and am hoping to avoid getting caught in one of those situations where there are people packed on all sides, front and back, everyone jostling and barely moving forward. So I am wondering what are the worst traffic choke points and when do they happen?

On our last trip I got caught in a mass of people trying to go from main street into tomorrowland in the evening, possibly after a parade. It was my worst nightmare. I'd like to try to avoid this happening again.

Avoid all of Tomorrowland in the evening if possible. Seriously, ugh! It's hard for just a single person to get anywhere, let alone a person in an ECV!

I think that's really been the worse place lately.

And plan your moving to different areas based on expected traffic (which you are obviously trying to do). So, avoid Fantasyland just before they reopen the fireworks fall-out area. Don't try to get up/down Main Street during parades.

DH has been in an ECV for 2 of our DL trips (he's getting his third hip surgery in 2 months!) and there are definitely some frustrating ECV issues when there are big crowds. We found that in addition to Main Street after a parade, DCA after WOC is a zoo. People kept cutting him off (jumping in front of him) so he'd have to brake suddenly to avoid hitting them. I usually walked in front of him (he's a terrible navigator) and when I turned around once after WOC, I found a dozen people had slipped in between me and him.

The biggest sore spot for me seems to be Adventureland, starting right past the dole whip stand!

PS I forgot about the other bad crowd: lining up at the gate to scan your tickets and enter the park! DH actually had to tell one woman, "Excuse me, but that's my wife and she has my ticket" when she tried to push in with her family right behind me and ahead of him.

Between the hub and Tomorrowland, just like what you experienced. Any time of day (except for right at opening on a non-early entry day) for us, going in or out. Awful.

Thank you everybody.

This must be why I feel like I didn't see much of tomorrowland last time I was there. I usually have a good eye for avoiding heavy foot traffic. That one bad crowd experience happened on a weekend night and I did have someone step into my tiny stopping zone so close that I hit him. I felt really bad.

I forgot about the WOC crowd, but I probably just waited until the crowd disappated.

Are there new choke points because of the construction?

I was there this weekend with an ECV...Adventureland between Jungle Cruise and Pirates, Tomorrowland near Star Tours and New Orleans Square between Pirates and HM were the worst all three days I was there! And we caught stuck near Tomorrowland, close to Main Street when the parade was going by and that was horrible! No one could move, people were shoving, lots of yelling and almost fighting! Just not good!!!
