What are the typical times high school marching bands march in Magic Kingdom?

My son will be marching with his High School Marching Band this coming March (2019). We have no idea when the time will be yet and was told we won't know until 6 weeks prior. I'm the parent chair of this trip and parents have asked so they can have a slight idea with planning dining etc. so figured I would reach out to see what your experiences have been.

I know that there is no longer a night parade, but sounds like they don't always march with the main afternoon parade at 3 pm. I do see there's a Dance Shake Party parade 3 times a day as well.

So experienced parents... What times did your child march and was it with an actual parade or just on their own?

The High School Band usually marches about 30 minutes before the parade. Over Spring Break, sometimes the parade is once a day , sometimes its twice. Most likely you will only march before one of them.

Because Easter is late April next year, you should plan on a little before 3:00 for your March trip.

Thank You!! That's what I figured but the tour group said it can be any time during the day, which I thought was weird. Are they typically always on a Saturday? That's what we have down but I guess that can change as well. We have our example itinerary listed as arriving Thursday night, open day on Friday, Magic Kingdom on Saturday etc. Guessing they have bands everyday?

Bands don’t participate on a daily basis. On a Saturday if the park is expected to be crowded, they could schedule a band to run prior to the first MiSi Dance Party.

It would probably be safest to have parents schedule dinner reservations rather than a TS lunch.

The bands usually march before the parade, but during peak band season they can also be sent out in the evening around 5 or 6pm. I want to say Ive seen some go out in the late morning as well, but that would be contingent on the main street entertainment schedule

most of the time it is about 30 minutes before the parade but on busy times 9 where there are a lot of bands) I have seen it at all kids of time like 11 am and 5 pm there really is no way to tell
