I was wondering if someone could tell me when the slow times of year in the parks are? Thanks!

My husband and I like going anywhere from the week after thanksgiving to the week befor christmas, it doesn't seem to be to crowed then. I'm not sure about other months, but from reading these boards i would never go during the summer.
That being said i know the Birnbaum book list when the busy and slow times are.

:D We went the week after Thanksgiving a couple years ago and it was unbelievable..... Practically walked on everything. The weather was perfect too. The only day that was busy was on Sat and we still managed to do everything we wanted.:bounce:

I would love to go again at that time. The decorations are so pretty and we went to the Christmas Party at MK. Loved it!

This past April 30th I was there with DD for 5 days. It was after Spring break, but still a bit busier than I was used too. Used Fast Pass and had no problems at all.;) MK was busy. I can not imagine going in Summer though. To many crowds and HOT!

I am going again in October for the Halloween party. So we will see how that time of year is???? I hear it is a good time to go too.

HAVE FUN PLANNING>>>:bounce:

... hop on a plane. Yes, that's another vote for the week after Thanksgiving. I try always to go the week after Thanksgiving, and have never run into big crowds. This year, I'm arriving on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (which means saturday might be crowded, as the Turkey Day vacationers will most likely be leaving the next day) and staying for a week. The decoratiosn are up, the lines are down, and the weather is perfect, allowing for plenty of time at the pools and waterparks!

I vote for the week BEFORE Thanksgiving. We went last year from 11-16-2 to 11-23-02, and never waited more than 20 minutes for anything. All the parks were VERY light early in the day and later at night. Most of the rides were walk-ons during this time. Now we did get return to MK the day we left to just walk around and relax before our evening flight, and we were amazed at how crowded the park was. I figured that these were the people arriving on Saturday who were staying for Thanksgiving week. Lines were about 1 hr+, and fastpass times were hours later. We were glad were did all we wanted to did in MK earlier in our trip.

We've also been week after T-day and it was great. Last year we tried first week in February and it was really wonderful too!! Very low crowds, could walk on most anything even the big rides. Most Fastpass booths were not even in operation b/c there was just no need. We had wonderful weather too - swam everyday and wore shorts around! Best of all we missed a snowstorm up north!!! It was really awesome having a nice warm break in the middle of winter. We enjoyed it so much we are doing it again this coming year!!!!:Pinkbounc

We have been in Jan, Dec, Sept & March. From least to most crowded:
Jan
Sept
Dec
March

We loved Jan so much - we're going again this Jan. Dec was my next favorite simply for all of the beautiful decorations. The parks were pretty slow at the beginning of Dec, but usually busier on the weekends. We'll be returning next Dec, too just to see the great decorations again! Sept was great, too - not many crowds, but still really hot & humid & greater chances for rain than Jan & Dec. Hope this helps. :D
