Traveling with my family October 2nd and would like to have a table just for the 4 of us. I have requested this but really what are the chances of us getting it?

Anyone have any luck at this?

I saw several tables for 4, maybe you'll get assigned to one of them! :) Most were for larger groups, though. We were a party of 6, and had a table to ourselves. We enjoyed meeting other people during breakfast and lunch, but at night it was nice to just relax with our DSs and SIL & BIL, so I can understand why you'd want a table for only your family.

Go to the area in the afternoon on the first day that does dining changes (it is in one of the bars, like where Palo reservations are made).

Bring your table number (which you will find in your room). Have them check to see if you are at a table just for 4. If not, have them check to see if they can find you one.

We are also a family that wants a table for 4, and so far we have been able to get one each time. This upcoming cruise we have lots of friends joining us, so there will actually be 14 of us this time and it is going to be quite different! A new experience!

I think the odds are good. I believe DCL has split up more tables. There were more tables for 4 on our 8/28 cruise than I recall 2 years ago. The tables, however, are close together.

We really liked this configuration. The tables on either side of us were close enough that we could talk together and yet we could also be "private" as the tables were separated by a little room.

We got along well with the people on both ends and all 3 tables talked often. In Lumiere's one night, they put the tables back to back instead of side to side and we all jokingly complained about not being able to talk!

I noticed this too. I like this! We also talked a little to the people next to us, but we didn't feel we 'had to' keep a conversation going. I am glad they did this. I wasn't sure if it were just my imagination or not, but since you mentioned it I do think they split up more tables but with just a small space seperating them.

It works for us!

Can you ask for a table for 4 w/your ta? I've done this on other cruises and although the ta says there is no guarantee, they do attach the request to the reservation so that the cruiseline knows what we want we making table assignments.

On our Oct. 2002 Wonder cruise, we had a table to ourselves -- me, dh, my sister and our 2.5 yo dd. It seemed that most of the tables were for very small groups on that cruise; we were a bit disappointed that we weren't at a larger table because we've had such great experiences with big tables.
