What are the odds? VWL 1st week of Sept?

I would like to reserve Sept. 5 and 6, 2008 (a Friday and Saturday night) for my son and his wife. I know there's no guarantee, but what would you think my odds are of finding a studio available then, considering I have to wait till 7 months out to make the call?

I'd say your odds are excellent, especially if you call right at the 7 month mark. Probably one of the easier months to book VWL before Food & Wine Festival starts up.

Edited to add: On second thought...is that Labor Day weekend next year? If so, that would make it a little tougher. But I still think you have an excellent chance as you are looking for the two nights that many people avoid due to higher points.

Labor Day is Sep. 1, 2008. You will have no problem getting this reservation.

I agree no problems getting it at all.

Sept is not a popular month. too many kids starting school, plus it is the first serious month of hurricane season.

In Oct - they have the food & wine festavial plus MNSSHP. Nov has the food & wine plus MVMCP plus at the end of the month - some of the christmas stuff has started.

Sept only at end has MNSSHP and food & wine not the early part of that month. (one reason why it offers the free dinning - to get guest to stay in Sept)

Oh, that is good news! I've been thinking about "gifting" my son and his wife with a weekend trip for the Night of Joy, and VWL is where they've always wanted to stay. They'll be so surprised!
