What are the odds that I'll be able to modify my ADR and how do I go about it?

When Disney announced that AK was going to be open late on 5/27 (our last night in the parks) I immediately switched over all of our plans so that we could be there that day. We won't be able to return for several years and so it was important to us to get to experience it.

We had originally planned on being in DHS that day and so we had prime Sci Fi ADRs for that afternoon, but when we switched parks I had to give those up (we don't have park hoppers) and I had to grab what I could for the day we would be there. So we went from 1:30 p.m. on the 27th to 9:05 p.m. on the 23rd.

I really am hoping to find an earlier time so that it's not so late and so we don't miss out on the evening Star Wars fireworks . . . however we will have got to see them the night before. Still though I know the youngest is going to LOVE that part and I'd like to see them again if possible.

So my question is . . . what are the odds that I'll be able to get earlier ADRs if I keep checking? ANY time earlier would be great. Lunch . . . dinner . . . what have you.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Am I asking for the impossible? If there is a chance, when would it be best for me to try? Is it better to call or look online?

When I get the text, do I just log into my MyDiseyExperience/DisneyWorld App and search for the one they say is available?

When I received my text, I only read the first line that said it was available, then quickly switched over to the MDE app to snag the res. Then I went back and reread the text, and it actually provided a link to the res. I didn't try the link, but if I had, I bet it would have been quicker.

You were so right and saved the day!! Thank you! I was able to move my Sci-Fi from 9:05 p.m. to 3:30 and my Be Our Guest from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
