What are the odds for the whole 5 nights at an OKW Grand Villa coming through?

Our group has expanded somewhat. Originally I booked a two bedroom, now it looks like we'll be about 10 people, and the Grand Villa is not available the 5 nights we'd need it (last week in June). I've kept the 2 bedroopm and I've booked an extra studio so at least I've got the rooms covered but would really like to stay in a Grand Villa...just because

I could have gotten some of then nights right away but not all and I didn't want to take a chance and get stuck homeless and have to do a move midway.

Anyway has anyone waitlisted for the whole time and had it come through? Just trying to find out if there is any hope.

Whenever I have waitlisted, I do it Day-By-Day with automatic booking. I believe your likelyhood of getting your waitlist, is much better than hopping the correct block of 5 days opens up in one fell swoop. Then by linking the 5 ressies ( if the do not come in in date order) you still have only one check-in and one check-out. If they come in, in order, then you just extend the reservation, no linking needed.

But what about the points how does that work? I don't think I'd have enough. I've already used points to book the 5 nights and while I have more, I'm planning on using a chuck next week to book day by day for Christmas next year.

I'm afraid of getting shut out or having to move midway trip. I've got 2 90 year olds coming and I'm trying to make this as painless as possible.

Add a studio plus the 2 BR. It'll be less points, easier to reserve and give you more flexibility if your group decreases unexpectedly. I'd say if you wait list day by day, you have about a 20-40% chance of getting what you need but it might be last minute. Would you have enough points to do that and keep the 2 BR just in case?

I've got the 2 bedroom and the studio booked. At this point that's 150 for the 2 bedroom and 55 for the studio. The Grand villa is a little more points about 255 or so. To be honest I have about 300 BWVilla points and 115 SS points left. We banked a chuck last year, knowing we were going all out this year. However, we want to spend next Christmas at BWV in a one bedroom so I need most of those 300 points for that and I need to book that starting next week.

I guess, I'll just take my chances and leave it as is. If it comes through great if not, like you said if someone drops out it'll be easier to drop the studio. With 2 90 year olds you just never know.
