What are the odds for 12/11 DCL out of Galveston to be discounted?

I think the heavy discount times are Oct, early Nov and early December. Not sure about the Galveston departure - thoughts and speculation welcome.

I hope so. Our very first Disney cruise was out of Galveston and it was 'Kids Sail Free' promotion. 8 days including tickets to WDW! Best Disney cruise yet! I really hope they offer discounts this year. It makes cruising on Disney so much more affordable.

I was on this sailing- our first ever!! And honestly, I've never seen it discounted like that again.

OP- Our honeymoon cruise on Jan 4, 2016, out of Galveston, is already at $2618 for two adults. I paid $2500 for the above 8 night out of Galveston in 2013. I would NOT hold my breath for any Disney cruises out of Galveston to be discounted any longer. Our December 18th, 2015 out of Galveston is now double the price I paid on opening day.

From one cruiser to another- don't wait to book and book early on. Galveston is gaining popularity by the minute.

At least some of the 2013 Galveston cruises had discounted deposits and onboard credits, but no kids sail free.

I'm sorry I wasn't more specific. I was referencing the fall 2013 cruises, as the OP had asked about fall.

I think that chances are slim for extreme discounts. The 12/18 cruise has increased in price 7 or 8 times and if you compare this year's pricing to the newly released 2016 cruises, the 2015 prices are much better. We priced a royal for the 2016 Christmas cruise and it was double + $5K over our royal for this December. We can pay for 2 years of college for what that quote is.

Absolutely no worries! I'm starting to wonder if they don't discount the fall/winter sailings nationwide because of the popularity of the "Very Merry Time" cruises.

Unfortunately, I agree. I doubt discounts will ever be coming back to Galveston. They're quite popular now.

i thought they left Galveston because the cruises weren't popular. the ships were not filling up. guess i wasn't paying attention. :upsidedow

I wanted to book the 12/16 cruise but the price is too crazy. Anyway, another consideration is that the Wonder will be just fresh off out of Drydock then. Probably with some cool upgrades. And so she will be in demand.

Oh wait, I bet you are talking about 2015 (versus 2016) sorry!

That's too bad... my husband and I sailed in March on this itinerary and paid (Vacations to Go) $1000.00 total for this cruise and course air, we live in CA. The ship was incredibly crowded with children, but it was AWESOME SAUCE!!!

Both my TA (also a great friend) and I have booked the 11/10/16 Wonder out of Galveston anticipating post-drydock. I was a bit surprised to see most of the hullabaloo on opening day was about the NYC sailings. Not so many were pouncing on the Galveston sailings which is fine. They'll sell especially if it gets closer to time and Disney comes out with a drydock confirmation and info.
