What are the must see rides at disneyland?

going to disneyland for the frist time what are the rides i have to go on??

I am the DL expert here I go all the time!

*Disneyland the big rides are:

-Big Thunder Mountain
-MAtterhorn- it isnt like WDW.....super easy going and fun
-Space Mountain
-Splash Mountain (I hate it but everyone else loves it, depending when your going it may be closed for refurb)
-Pirates of the Carribean
-Haunted Mansion
-Indiana Jones

Try not to miss:
-Nemo Submarines
-Jungle Cruise
-Personally I love Fantasyland!
-IF you drive Autopia isnt a big deal if you dont then go!
-Pooh bear :]
-Small world
-Buzz astro blasters

I encourage you to ride the Train. I rode it twice around last time in full circles

California Adventure....
There is California Screamin huge coaster....I dont like those
-DO NOT MISS Monsters Inc! Its an adorable ride in the Hollywood Backlot
-Soarin OVer California is FANTASTIC!
-World Of Color - show not a ride
-TOY STORY MANIA!

In the Disneyland Park:
- Splash Mountain (better than DW and my personal favorite )
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Space Mountain
- Matterhorn (not at DW and a TON of fun!)
- Mad Tea Party (that ride is just a classic)
- It's A Small World (again...classic.)
- Star Tours (alot of fun that one is )
- Indiana Jones (that ride is one of my favorites...make sure you get a FP though b/c the wait times can be LONGG.)
- Haunted Mansion
- Pirates of the Caribbean (this ride is also better at DL than DW!)
- Fantasmic! (show not a ride...in New Orleans Square on select nights...it's great don't miss it!)


In Disney's California Adventure Park:
- California Screamin' (such a fun coaster with some awesome views of the park)
- WORLD OF COLOR <3 (this show is INCREDIBLE. It's on the water at Paradise Pier and you have to get a FP for it and it is TOTALLY worth every minute. I must have seen it at least 4 times this past June. I just love it )
- Mickey's Fun Wheel (make sure you go on the swinging gondola, they are so fun!)
- TOY STORY MANIA (oh what a fun ride- I think I've been on it at least 15 times just at DLR and it never gets old )
- Monsters Inc. (alot of fun and so cute )
- Soarin' Over California (this ride is my all-time fave after Splash Mountain and it is SO COOL.)
- Tower of Terror (classic and so fun )
- Grizzly River Run (kinda short but not like Kali River Rapids in DW..so fun personally I love it )

which park should i go to for early open? and what rides should i go to first?

If you go to DCA early go sraight to Soarin or Toy Story Midway Mania.

If you go to the Disneyland park then go to Space or Splash Mountain.

I am very excited because I leave tommorow morning for Disneyland.

I would reccomend Disneyland for early morning. Go strait to Peter pan if your interested in a little kid ride that is amazing. If not go strait to Indiana Jones or Space Mountain. GEt a FP for the other ride that you dont get in line for.
