We are going to Disney the end of this month. My sons are 4 and 20 months. We have been watching Disney movies the past week, but I was wondering what the must see movies are before we go. Is there a list of the most popular characters that are there and what movie they are in?? I want my sons (especially the 4 year old) to know as many characters as possible.

Thanks!!

I watch Stich, Monster Inc, The Lion King, Little Mermaid, The Incredabiles.
There are so many i watch them all the time.

HI! I had my own Disney movie marathon before our trip last month. Make sure they see Cars, Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Lion King, Peter Pan, and of course any Pooh Bear movies. We saw Cars characters at MGM, Toy Story at MGM and Magic Kingdom, Monsters Inc. at MGM but saw the Laugh Floor show at MK, Finding Nemo show at AK & ride at Epcot, Lion King show at AK & characters at MK, Peter Pan & Wendy at MK, and Pooh & Friends at all the parks.
Have a great time!

Since they've probably seen most of the newer movies already, you might introduce them to some of the older movies that they might not have seen. That way, they'll be able to recognize some classic characters that might be featured in the parks such as Robin Hood, Pinocchio (sp? I never get it right), Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, etc. Peter Pan would be great so they will recognize Tinkerbell, as she is featured frequently. And like iluveeyore said, anything with Pooh and his friends! The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh just came out on DVD, I would recommend that one. Of course since they're boys, the princess movies might not interest them as much, so Peter Pan, Aladdin, Robin Hood, etc. may be more appropriate. Hope this post was helpful! And enjoy your trip!!

I am taking my youngest (DS4) in three weeks and we have been watching: Lion King, Finding Nemo, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Beauty & the Beast, Lilo & Stitch, Monsters Inc, Toy Story 1 & 2 (but he's seen those a million times already!), Cinderella, WDW planning dvd, Dumbo, Aladdin, and A Bug's Life....he also watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids a few weeks ago!
Oh, and I also bought The Muppets Take Manhattan for him to watch, because I don't think he has a clue about who they are. LOL!

Peter Pan-of course!!! But honestly if you have good local library try to find the Disney Sing-Along-Songs DVD's. They have a couple old DVD's that show WDW. They are cute as long as you can look past the early 90's clothing and dancing!!! My 4 year old loves to watch the Disney Planning DVD WDW gives out.

We are leaving in 2 weeks and have watched Mulan and Aladdin. I think we will watch Toy Story and The Little Mermaid before we leave. :smickey:

Um, all of them!!! :3dglasses

When it gets close to our trip, a month or two, we try to watch one movie a night or every other night until we leave.

CINDERELLA!! The first thing you see walking down Main Street is her Castle.

We always listen to our Disney CDs before trips too. (Okay so we listen to them all the time) Nothing gets you more in the mood for Dinsy than listening to your favorite Disney toons.

We watched The Swiss Family Robinson before our first trip. (DDs were 2 and 6 at the time.) Doesn't really help with characters, but my girls really enjoyed the Tree House much more after seeing the movie. They have to do that one every time we've been back!

My DD6 and DD4 have not yet seen "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" or "Swiss Family Robinson"... so these are two that are on our list to watch before our trip in Oct. :happytv:

They just recently saw "Alice in Wonderland" for the 1st time.

We also like listening to the Disney CDs and watchng the Sing-a-Long DVDs.
