What are the "must-not do's" at WDW? (unDisney like)

Little boys shouldn't be in the hot tub either if you'd like them to have kids someday, because , well, just think of what happens to an egg when you poach it.:rolleyes1

However, we will still be calling Spaceship Earth the "Golf Ball". DD did it at 2 1/2 and it still makes us smile.

A girl is born with all the eggs she will ever produce a boy just keeps on making them, yes hot water may lead to a slowdown in production but this is only temporary and is quickly reversed.

I could so tell that Mickey was a mom

Well, I know Mickey isn't a mom, since he's a he ;) , but I do know that he's in touch with his feminine side! We were at Chef Mickey's and DD was wearing her brand new Mickey Ears. The strap needed to be adjusted, and they kept falling down. I can't tell you how many times Mickey tried to straighten them, just like I would do! It was so sweet!

Don't eat at San Angel Inn

Sorry, can't agree with you on that one. That's a favorite of DH and I!

Alright...I give...what's the deal with Whispering Canyon and ketchup? Will the waitress freak...? Is it like putting ketchup on sushi or some other finer cuisine? :confused3

No, nothing like that at all. Remember, this is Disney, and there is something fun happening in the most unexpected of places! (But also remember that certain fun things are not guaranteed, so don't be surprised if you don't get a reaction. I did hear, though, that breakfast there is an interesting time to ask for ketchup...!)

consider this; you are standing there juggling all of that and and your food and see 10or 12 tables being saved and nowhere for you to sit! you would change your opinion in a hurry ive seen it happen. cutting in at a table is the same as cutting in at the food line, a ride line, a character line or anything else. now before you get mad consider the reality of it. if you are saving you have to be able to look up at the people standing there with food getting cold waiting for a place to sit and say to yourself thats their problem if their food gets cold not mine ive staked out my territory. no different than the other reply on this post about giving a bus seat to someone more tired than you.[/

Maybe next time you should have someone save a table for you and this would not be an issue. We always do this I really dont see the point of making my two tired, hungry, small children wait in line with me while I order when they could get a table and condiments and napkins and such so that when I do arrive at the table with their food we are ready to go and can leave quicker so someone else can have the table. I see NOTHING wrong with this at all and will continue to do it. the whole point of saving is so you will have a table once your food order is done. I am sorry you have ordered and not found a place to sit I know that is frustrating but I know that even if people didnt save tables this would still occur. I want to know I have got a table BEFORE I order because if I dont then we go somewhere else or come back at a less crowded time.

so you also dont care if all other tables are full and some are standing around not able to eat because of you??????

What does it matter if those people have already got their food or not . Not being able to find a table sometimes is going to happen regardless its just one of those things. I do care I have been in that situation but I dont fault the other families sitting waiting for their food. They have just as much right to a table as I do.

In what's going to be a relatively empty theater, when you're the only party in your row, please don't sit directly in front of the only person in the row behind you.

THIS HAPPENS TO ME EVERY TIME WE GO TO THE MOVIES. Even if the theater is empty, it never fails that someone plops down right in front of my always-struggling-to-see 5'2" frame. And if it's a family or a couple, it will inevitably be the 6'0" man who sits in front of me, not his 5'6" wife or children. ;)

no problem with you, i would just feel really crappy sitting there shooting the breeze with my kids while someone was in line for me, and others were looking about desparetly for a place to set there trays and selves down and the reason they are in that unfortunate situation is because they all got in line to place their order while i was scurrying about trying to score a seat. i think the truth of it is, we, all of us, mostly care about ourselves not the big picture, and there is no changing the hard wiring.

Just to pipe in here, there is really nothing "offical" that says that the tables are only for the patrons of that particular counter service restaurant, are there? (If there are, my apologies.)

So, technically, even someone who is not dining there has a right to sit down at a table to get out of the sun and rest for a few minutes.

Likewise, when someone is done eating, they have a right to sit there a bit longer to digest before hitting the rides/shows/etc. again. Even if someone else is looking for a table.

I have always gotten a table for our family while DH gets our food. And honestly, if the place is as crowded as you're talking about, by the time we find a table, get settled, wash hands with wipes, get napkins, etc., DH is there with the tray full of food. And if I end up sitting there a few minutes waiting for him, well, I will.

Flame away if you like. It won't bother me, becuase I don't have a problem with this practice, whether it's me or if I see someone else doing it. And FTR, I consider myself a very polite and helpful person. I'm the kind of driver who will stop and let you in the lane when it's backed up, I'll hold the door for anyone behind me, etc.

No disrespect intended, but does there really NEED to be a policy like that? I don't have a problem with people holding a table while someone gets in line for food. But to sit there if you aren't a patron of that particular establishment, or to linger over an almost empty drink...aren't there other places to do that? I am talking about when it's busy, and families are walking around looking for tables while their food gets cold. That seems a little rude and self-centered to me.

This dosnt seem rude or self centered to me. I guess if we are talking about a long time it might but if you want to sit and talk or rest or whatever that is your right. So the minute your done eating you jump up that second and leave. You never know what kind of day that family might have had and they need a few minutes more to regroup or something. We should not judge others for how long they sit at their tables. This is precisely why one of us saves a table while the other one orders. if a table is not guarenteed to us at the moment we wait or go somewhere else to avoid this exact situation.

...passing gas of any variety in a crowded monorail...

NO NO NO!!!!!!!!

This is considered chemical warfare of the highest order, and SHOULD earn you a one-way trip with some men in haz-mat suits to some facility operated by the Department for Homeland Security....

(p.s. - ESPECIALLY after you've just eaten at Biergarten...)

Are you talking about my BF.? I wouldnt put it past him to do this. :lmao:

P.S. Nice to see the thread back on topic.

my apologies to th OP it seems we may have hijacked this thread with all this table talk.

No disrespect intended, but does there really NEED to be a policy like that?

No, and I will agree that I would never sit there for an hour when it's crowded. But I don't fault anyone for sitting there for a few minutes, whether waiting for someone in their party to get their food, sitting after their meal to digest, or not eating at all and just taking a rest.

So to get back on track, maybe we can agree that we should not...

sit at a CS table for an extended amount of time if we're not eating (but a few minutes is OK)

How bout these ones....

Don't climb on or use the following for tightrope acts, Walls, fences, benches, or bodies taking a nap on any of the above. The circus does not stop at Disney so you will not get picked to be their next clown. You will just look like one when you fall. Plus people will laugh.

On that same note...
Dont use the ropes meant to keep guests back beyond barriers as jumpropes, or swings. People WILL laugh at you when you fall.

Also.. Dont try to jump over them if they are baring an entrance to attraction. There is a reason they are there. THE THING IS CLOSED BRIGHTEYES! Again if you trip and fall people WILL laugh at you.

I do understand your point. I'm not defending the people who save seats for 45 minutes. But I see nothing wrong with grabbing a table for 5 minutes while DH is in line. And I do gladly give up chairs, and have shared tables with many who were holding their trays. This is probably one of those points we won't be able to convince each other on. For what it is worth, I generally eat early to avoid the rush anyway.

I agree with the poster though about throwing away your garbage. People think you are still at the table if you don't clear it. No reason to hold that table any longer than necessary. (I do think it is just as bad to hang out at the table long after your done eating as I've seen many do. If they don't move on they would be holding a table much longer than I would be.)

I agree. When I haven't been able to find a table, or when DH isn't with me so it's not even an option, I don't get upset with those sitting down holding tables or eating. . .the only ones that annoy me are the ones sitting down at a table covered in empty plates and papers, clearly finished and they sit there for another 30 minutes b/c it's cool. . .
