What are the most haves that you take on your trip??

I'll second (or third) the ziploc bags, and add a stain stick!!! After an unfortunate incident involving a seagull (of course on one of my favorite shirts), I can tell you that's a must have!

Camillatin.....thanks for posting a link to your trip report. It was GREAT!

A Sharpie permanent marker. We use ours for DS's autograph book (and I buy small, 4x6?, spiral bound artist's sketch books or watercolor paper for these; spiral binding means they open flat, and heavier paper means Sharpie doesn't bleed through, doesn't look like anyone else's so we don't have mix ups). BUT, even if you don't use a Sharpie for autographs, ours comes in SO handy -- write your email address on the back of your PhotoPass card as soon as you get it (the PhotoPass photographers will love you)! I write DS's name on his stuffed animals or hats that he buys in the parks -- always helps to know for sure which one is yours! I just feel that I'm always finding uses for that Sharpie!

California baby SPF 30 Sunscreen stick -- I'm sure other companies make these -- a stick of sunscreen that's the size of a chunky-sized lip gloss. Great for touching up the tips of ears or nose or neck without getting lotion all over your hands.

Bring individually wrapped handi-wipes. Lots of them!!

I always do...but for our last trip I did not have enough.

Besides using them on our hands (esp. DS7's)...I use them to wipe down the crumb-filled icky table at some of the counter service restaurants we hit at busy times. (Pinocchio Village Haus comes to mind!)

We always bring clothes pins. They come in handy for keeping the drapes closed tight, keeping snack bags secured, and for hanging up wet bathing suits. :)

I love my mistymate!! I got it at BJ's a couple of years ago. I had one of those fan/sprayer things and the batteries gave out during the Tarzan show when it was VERY hot. We almost died from the heat--it was an ugly scene. The mistymate got my attention because it does not use batteries!! We used it this past August at Sea World. It works like a vacuum pump--like you would use to spray for insects on your shrubs. Mistymate sprays you with a gentle mist, which in August in Orlando felt like heaven. I like it much better than the mist/fan combos and it is easier to carry. I put it on my fanny pack strap and it does not borther me at all. I don't leave much water in it at a time so it is not heavy to carry. Using ice water REALLY makes the mist feel heavenly. Using a mistymate is one of the best tips I have gotten off the DIS. Have a great trip!!

While I love reading all these tips, it is costing me lots of money!! I feel like I need to buy Crocs, Baggallini bags ect. Anyway, just wanted to say that I was on ebags and saw they had a AAA discount of 15% if you are a member. I went to my local AAA site, clicked the link and went to ebags. I got a messenger bag for under $30 with free shipping! Anyone get the lime green color?

I just ordered mine. I thought about lime green-but of course went with black. It came to $29.74 with free 2 day shipping. Love it... :thumbsup2

Thanks to the OP for the thread...... :teeth:

I think all the pools have life jackets for kids that you can check out. Not sure if you get them at the pool or guest services desk inside. We always take our own. I also take their goggles or masks, and small swim ring. We do not take the huge floats that you lay down on as those take up too much room and probably wouldn't be allowed anyway. We also take those splash balls so the kids can throw them and my small guy takes some small toys that float and he plays at the steps. You can not use snorkles.

I never even thought about this! Do all resort pools allow pool toys? Also, I thought that most resorts had some type of life jacket/float device for kids. Does anyone know anything about that?

I think our number one must have would be the sunscreen! :sunny: And, of course, number 2 is the aloe vera just in case. :rotfl:
