What are the most haves that you take on your trip??

aloe vera gel (it's a must!!!), power bars/granola bars, small first aid kit (bandaids, various OTC medicines), moleskin, ace wrap (for minor sprains/strains), and chap stick.

For the room - my pop up hamper, dollar store over the door shoe holder for toiletries, my own shower puff (hate using a washcloth)

For me - healthbag backpack, extra batteries and charger for the camera, reebocks, cool max socks, sunglasses and of course my pins.

everything else - first aid kit, sewing kit, duct tape (never had to use it but have a travel roll just in case), small folding scissors, clothespin (have used to hold curtains closed/hang up clothes/keep chips fresh)

I always make sure I have foot cream or lotion. After a full day in the parks, it is the nicest feeling in the world!!! pixiedust: :smickey:

We always bring a "white noise" machine for the hotel room (ours is made by Sleep Mate). We use them at home because we live on a busy street, but they are great for traveling, too. They don't completely block out noise, but they're pretty soothing. We all need our rest at DW for the next day's commando touring, right?

The two I can't live without:

q-tips (hate that tickly feel after the shower)

toothpicks

I use the Baggallini Currency Organizer. It was designed for people traveling to other countries to keep different kinds of currrency separated, but I found it works great for WDW.

It has one main center compartment, where I put my cash, drivers license and the credit card I will be using.

There are two other zippers on each side, each one a different color.

In one color I put park tickets, and our DDE card., things I need access to often.

In one color I put all our Disney Dollars

In one color I put reciepts for that days purchases

In another color I put cards I may need but don't use daily, like AAA, Rainforest Cafe Safari Club, etc. cards necessary for the trip but not needed every day.

I have been using these for several years and haven't found anything better for me to use. I bought my first ones locally, but when that luggage store closed, I then started ordering from e-Bags.

I guess I am now going to have to go check out that Messenger bag.

I just looked at the messenger bag. Is it hard to get your camera in and out quickly? I hate the "look" of my fanny pack but I "love " having everything (ie: camera, sunglasses/reg glasses) at my fingertips. I wish I could find a local dealer than I could go try one on and "play" with it!

I take any medications that my kids could possibly need. I never fails, I have to go out and buy something (have to find a store first!) so now I take it all! Including swimmers ear meds, tweezers for splinters, StingEase (for insect bites), motrin, allergy meds, etc, etc.
The $1 fans from walmart that kids can hang around their neck or a "spray bottle" fan. Crystal lite drink packets, hand sanitizers, ziplocs, sunglasses for everyone, sandals to wear around the pool, plenty of sunscreen (I'm going to try the new "mist" type in their hair this year to prevent sunburns!), peppermint cream for our feet. Pool toys (get some cheap ones and you can throw them away when you leave or leave them at the pool for another kid).

These are just some things that would not be in your normal clothing and toiletry packing.

just reading, love all these tips

On all trips, I bring a suction-cup magnifiying mirror. Bathroom lighting is horrid to do make-up by and it's hard to lean in close enough to the sink mirror. So...slap that sucka' on your window ladies (or gents...who am I to judge!) and you can apply your "face" in flattering natural light. As a bonus, this frees up the sink area so your kids can argue over who has to brush their teeth first!

Got my mirror at Target for around $6.

Great idea for any trip! Thanks for the tip. :thumbsup2

Great tips. I heard about www.mistymate.com has anyone used a misty mate? If so, did it work?

I saw these--or perhaps a less expensive version, at Target last summer. I almost got one for our trip last year but didn't. I'd be interested in hearing how well these work, too.

I always take wintergreen Lifesavers and my white Disney bucket hat. The Lifesavers cut down on wanting snacks for me.

I never even thought about this! Do all resort pools allow pool toys? Also, I thought that most resorts had some type of life jacket/float device for kids. Does anyone know anything about that?

I think our number one must have would be the sunscreen! :sunny: And, of course, number 2 is the aloe vera just in case. :rotfl:

Go to QVC.com and Do a search for Baggallini. They have great prices on them and also alot of colors. I love my bag and can't wait to try it out on our trip.

Where did you all buy your Bagallini's? I'd be curious to check them out.

Some must have's for me-
Sunscreen
tiny travel umbrella's
chapstick

While I love reading all these tips, it is costing me lots of money!! I feel like I need to buy Crocs, Baggallini bags ect. Anyway, just wanted to say that I was on ebags and saw they had a AAA discount of 15% if you are a member. I went to my local AAA site, clicked the link and went to ebags. I got a messenger bag for under $30 with free shipping! Anyone get the lime green color?

PURELL!!!!!! All those germs...rides, railings, public bathrooms. I take at least 2-3 travel sized ones whenever I go.

Thank you so much for these tips... I almost forgot about getting a little travel first aide kit. With kids it is always a good idea to have a band aide around. It is amazing how much better a band aide and mommy kiss can make something. Also Purell and sunscreen!!!
