What are the most and least thoughtful gifts that you received?

Most thoughtful gift: a watercolor of cardinals sitting on a branch painted by DD13. She obviously put a lot of thought into it--i love birds and she did a great job on it.

Least thoughtful gift: "Hook 'em, Horns" slippers. :confused3

Are you a UT fan?? *Insert LMAO smiley*

OT- Am I the only one having trouble with the smileys today?

No duds this year. Dh did very well. He got me several 'sparkly' things which I have asked for a couple of years but was told they were too expensive. He also got me Paula Deen's cookbook that I asked for!

By the way, he got the tinfoil when she left him. She wrapped it nicely and put a pretty bow on it. We never found out why he thought tinfoil was such a great gift. Who knows?

Good for her! I hope she has a better life now.

Most thoughtful: a check from my in-laws to cover the entire amount of 5 passports for our famiily! (we had to postpone our Disney cruise this year due to our budget and rescheduled for next year).

Least thoughtful: this is a hard one, but since everyone at least tried, I'm going to leave it blank!

Most thoughtful was the replica of the plaque that hangs in the entrance to the MK in WDW & Disneyland. It reads:

"HERE YOU LEAVE TODAY AND ENTER THE WORLD OF YESTERDAY, TOMORROW AND FANTASY"

I didn't get any duds personally, but my 2 nieces (11 years old) got some "lingerie" night lights from my MIL. They are in the shape of a woman's bodice dressed in lingerie (insert confused smilie)

BTW - I can't use the smilies today either (?)

i didn't get presents this year as we were short of money.
and, that is not an issue. i was thrilled it did not snow this year and not bitter cold.

but, i did receive a floral arrangement from mil that had 3 toxic greenery to the cats i have here. blech........mil doesn't like cats.

sent it back to the florist with a note to the mil and then had to go to the vet for blood work on cat as she bit into the evergreen......

I got three presents that were amazing....

My daughter gave me a handwritten card saying that she loved me...and a bracelet she picked out from her Secret Santa store at school (never mind that it said GRANDMA on the bracelet ;) !)....

My MIL gave us a new microwave...yay!! Ours died 2 months ago, and we kept putting off getting a new one.

My hubby gave me diamond earrings....surprised me big time.

I think the only thing I received on Christmas Day that I didn't like was the nasty, rainy weather we got!

Good for her! I hope she has a better life now.

She does, thanks for asking. Married a wonderful man who adopted her daughter. They now have 3 more kids, and are supremely happy! Too bad she had to have a horrible experience, but I'm sure it makes her appreciate the good guy she has now!

My Dh's family celebrates Christmas on December 30 every year, since everyone has other places to be on Christmas, and on SIL works on Christmas. Last year my SIL gave me a Christmas sweater! That was obviously bought at an after Christmas 75% off sale. Who gives a Christmas sweater after Christmas? Or even on Christmas? Even if I was the Christmas sweater type (which I most definately am not) I would not have been able to wear it for 11 more months. Weird.
