port fees are included

other costs include: tips, Palos, photos, souveniers, hotels before cruise, airfare, meals before & after cruise, excursions, tux rental, arcade, soda mug, bar/drinks, grocery stop, rental car

Well, they're not really HIDDEN fees, but they do add up. :) You will pay for:

Tips
Cover charge for Palo (adults-only restaurant)
Alcoholic beverages
Sodas except at meals
Bottled water
Specialty drinks for kids, even at meals
Photos
Spa treatments
Souvenirs
Rentals on Castaway Cay
Shore excursions
Laundry service
Bingo on the ship (if you care to play)
Tips for porters at port
Segway Transporter ride

I think that about covers it! :)

Figure about adding $1300 to a seven day cruise for 4 people. Thats if
you take a couple of excursions, tipping, drinks, overpriced soda mugs,
etc etc......

wow - is that a low figure?
Im planning on $2,000 for 3 people for the 7night cruise
but then again Id much rather overbudget

I had read many reports of around a thousand dollars on their KTTW card at the end of a cruise and I couldn't imagine how they spent it. Well, from someone just back, it wasn't hard. Tips were a big portion of that. We didn't do any excursions other than a Castaway Cay thing that was charged to the card. My husband ordered a glass of wine each night at dinner. Kids ordered maybe 3 or 4 sodas the WHOLE week, no mugs, 10 photos from shutters, a few gifts for the kids. I really have no idea how it added up, but the bill looked right. The tips were about 1/2 of the amount. We spent extra on the non Disney islands we went to for taxi's and activities. The taxi fares add up quickly when it is per person back and forth from a place. Take plenty of cash or travellers checks you can turn into cash on the ship.

Well, I guess we spend too much, because we spent $1400.00 on our 4 day wonder cruise of 10/27.

some of the costs:

internet cafe (unlimited use for the 4 days) 40.00
tips 255.00
4 mugs 80.00
10- 6 x 8 pictures 89.00
5 - 8 x 10 pictures 100.00
arcade cards for both kids 10.00 x 4 = 40.00
wine package 99.00 ( 1 bottle for each nite of cruise
souvenirs 240.00 (hat, ears, shirt, shirt, shirt,)
alcoholic beverages 140.00
smoothies for boys 15.00
spa treatments 135.00
parasailing 140.00 ( 2 people)
banana boat ride 56.00
\
hope this helps for yr planning. it was worth every cent.

Glad Im not the only one! Although not on Disney, my bar bill on Royal Caribbeans Monarch of the Seas (5 nighter) came up to between $1,200 and $1,500 for 2 of us.
Of course there was a casino on the ship that we could use our sign and sail card to get gambling cash..so that accounted for $500.00 of it.
We didnt get to do any excursions (Hurrican Michelle caused all of them to be cancelled)
* hair done for formal night
* bought earrings
* a bracelet
* 5 t-shirts
* 2 cartons of cigarettes
* lotsa drinks :o
* 2 Royal Cocktail cards
* 1 coke sticker
