What are the hidden expenses that you forgot to budget for?

I am trying to make sure that I have everything covered. The one main thing I am worried about is tipping...but what else did you forget until the last minute?

I don't know about hidden expenses, but there were a couple of unexpected last minute expenses the last couple of weeks before the wedding. First i had to buy a new higher pair of shoes becuase of some problems with the hemming on the dress. Then i bought a new bra because the one i had i was afraid i would not be comfortable in. Then the car we were planning to drive down to Fla broke down the day before we were supposed to leave and we had to go rent one early the next morning. Then the hotel lost the bag with all my makeup and hair supplies (i did my own hair and make up for the wedding and mk photo shoot) and we had to go buy all new ones. When we got the bill for the Mk photo shoot the price had been raised from 725 to 800. Despite all this, we remained in budget because i always rounded up when i was bugeting things- I had alrady budgeted 800 for the mk photos shoot, i bugeted 600 for the car instead of the actual 540 and stuff like that- It really helped us keep our costs down. So basically what I am saying is buget for surprises!

I forgot about tipping at first too. Also, I didn’t budget enough for alterations. The only other things were little things, but we all know that little things add up (things like parent gifts, bridesmaids gifts, etc.). Be sure to remember budgeting for rooms for the nights before the wedding.

Tipping, parent gifts, clothes for the honeymoon/ wedding week (rehearsal dinner dress, etc), and souveniers.

Parking at the airport. We remembered it two days before we left and it was a doozy bill. But we got a good spot.

Other last minute add-ins. We had a basket waiting for my parents, and I sent one to Dennis.

Definitely remember the tips, my dress alterations were more than I expected, also the marriage license is important to remember

Can I ask,, how much did the alterations cost you? Thanks in advance

My alterations were extremely expensive because the entire bodice of my gown (including the heavily beaded area at the top) had to be re-made. My alterations were about $500, but that is very extreme. Most people I know spent about $100-$150 on alterations.

My alterations were about $200, I had about 4 inches chopped off the bottom, the top had to be taken in, and I had it bustled.

We are planning on tipping the officiant, Disney cosmetology/make-up, Carolyn Allen's for the dress steaming, and possibly the limo driver. I am still unsure about how much so any input would be great.

We were gonig to tip Cosmetology 20 but she left so fast I was left holding the cash, Limo we tipped 20 but we had him take us to the airport so he handled our bags, minister we are going to send a gift card to,
