What are the guidelines on the "reserved" seats in FOTLK?

Obviously the CMs try to place handicapped people there. But I've seen (apparently able-bodied) people come in last-minute, look around for a seat, and plop down, with no CM asking if they're disabled.

Is it a case of getting lucky/not getting caught? Or is it "the signs are to discourage people, in case we need the seats for disabled guests, but this close to showtime, we'll fill all the seats, whether or not the guests are disabled"?

I'm pretty sure the latecomers weren't directed to the seats by a CM. They looked kind of lost, looked a little hesitant to sit in the Reserved section, but then decided to give it a shot, and didn't get relocated.

IF there is nobody disabled there to use them, then it apparently isn't necessary to move people out of them. Since the guests came in last minute it's probably being done that way.

I should mention that a few of them were a good 5-10 minutes before the show. Again, they didn't look like they were being sent there.

Maybe just a case of too few CMs to direct traffic.

that could be. I would assume that if someone disabled came in who needed the seat, the guests in them would be relocated.

The HP seats are for wheelchairs, ECVs, etc. and have some bench seats next to and behind them reserved for the remainder of your party.

They do limit how many actual HP guests are in the theater, CMs keep a count on HP parties, I've seen guests asked to wait for the next show because the HP slots are filled. The CM's standing before the entry que are the ones that keep count of HP parties and can let you know if HP space is available before you enter the line. That said, some HP parties are small, 2 people for example, and don't fill up the reserved bench seats. I've seen CMs place latecomers to fill those seats if all the HP slots are already taken, meaning no more friends/family with the HP person for those seats.

If all the HP slots are not filled yet for the show people on those reserved bench seats could be moved if the spots are needed for a latecomer HP guest and their party.

If there are no other open seats for guests, the people sitting in the HP seats do not have to move HP guests that have come after them.
