What are the funny little pale blue "pricetags" I see next to some threads?

Just noticed if after the upgrade. When I open the thread(s), I don't see it and nothing looks "different".

Are you talking about on the screen with the threads? I haven't noticed anything different but it took me forever to notice the blue tags that you can click on and it will take you to the last post you read in the thread.

They're "tags." You can tag your threads w/ key words, etc.

That's the tag I put on the iPhone thread. Each tagged thread should say its own thing.

Okay, now I'm lost (admittedly, it doesn't take much). I don't see anything new. Where are the tags? Do you only see them when you are looking the Dis on the Iphone??

I see them but I dont know what a tag or iphone tag is. I am really way far gone. I am NOT computer savy at all and I dont have a phone LOL. Just a verizon junkie phone for emergencies.

No - you don't have to be on an iPhone to see them. There are only a few threads on this board that have them (the iPhone thread being one of them).

The tags appear all the way to the right of the thread title (in the same column, before the last post, reply count, etc columns)

My guess is that it would make it easier to search for stuff. If a post is tagged with "iphone" and I search for threads with "iphone" its going to be easier to find them.

Tags are used for many things that have lots of content (blogs, message boards, etc.), it makes it way easier to find something when it's been "tagged" with a key word. It also makes it easier to group threads that have similar topics.
