Hi everyone
We are planning on taking my 5 yo DS to the beach next year for spring break, he has never been to the beach before, but we are also wanting to go to Disney and Universal while we are there, I know most beaches are an hour or more away, just wondered which ones are closest to Orlando???
Thanks guys:thumbsup2

Cocoa Beach is about 45 minutes away, a straight shot east out of Orlando on the Beeline Expressway.

A couple years ago the Beeline Expressway was renamed the Beachline Expressway so that people would get the idea that it was the direct route to the beach. (It still carries the same road number....TOLL 528)

Even a bit closer than Cocoa Beach is if you stay on the 528 until it comes to an end at Port Canaveral. At the very end of the road is Jetty Park, a popular beach on the Atlantic. A fun part of that park is that between 4pm and 5pm on certain days the cruises ships head out to sea and they sail right past the park. Everybody waves to each other. The Disney ships blow their horn with When You Wish Upon a Star.

It's a 1-hour drive from Disney.
