What are the changes of Free Dining for the beginning of August

Now that Free Dining has been introduced for a couple of weeks now....do you think that Disney will look at bookings for the beginning of August...and think hmmmmm...bookings are low lets introduce Free Dining??....

I guess it's always possible. Last year after the free dining promotion ended, it was reannounced with different dates (granted they were later), but it was indeed reannounced to fill more rooms. I guess if enough folks move their plans from early and mid August to September, it could very well create a void of rooms that need to be filled. However, I wouldn't count on it, but we can hope that it's possible. Our family cancelled 7 rooms at Pop when the dates changes, so we contributed to some empty rooms mid August. If it were to happen it would happen after the close of the current promotion in June, so there would not be alot of turn around time.

Interesting...the cut off date for final payment for our reservation 6/24. Should they release new dates could we transfer even after we've made full payment??

Yes, you should be able to do that with no problem. Transfer dates, I mean, after full payment. Not sure if they will open anything new up or not. It would be a longshot. They have extended dates to book free dining, but not the actual dates of free dining.

I think the bounce back, UK free dining plan and the 40% off rate must have sold well. Maybe that's why the dates for the Visa and general public free dining were shorter.

Well I do not think that they wil release any new dates.. but one can always dream

One can only hope. Disney is pushing the new value season rates for the beginning of August so that is why I have doubt. Since people might think that might be a good deal.

The 40% was for dates in August starting on 8/21 (Tuesday), 5 days prior to free dining. So the bounce back and UK free dining are the only promotions in the beginning of August.

The 40% was not available for most of August. It was only for August 21 and after, so that left the first 3 weeks with no discounts, except the bounce back and UK promotion.

It's like this - it of course *could* happen.. but I would NOT base your vacation around counting on it or expecting it... because it's highly unlikely and you might be very disappointed.

Have you considered getting an AAA rate? I think you should be able to 20% off the room if available. Personally I would not hold out hope for the free dining to be offered earlier, I'd go with what I can afford and any extra off is a bonus.
