What are the chances of switching a studio to a 1 bedroom 12/1-4?

I am renting points from a DVC member for this timeframe. Originally, my sister was going to go as well for 1 night, and now I have almost enough points for a 1 bedroom instead of a preferred studio. Is there a chance or am I dreaming?

I agree, chances are zero to none. That week has been sold out for months with many of us, including myself, on the wait list. I have a studio and have been waitlisted for months for a 1 or 2 bedroom unit at the BWV. Still, I always say give it a try, and let us know what kind of response you get! Good luck!

Well is always possible. I altered my BCV studio to a 1 bedroom for 4 nights in October. When I called there was nothing available, I waitlisted night by night and the last night came through yesterday. We are leaving on the 13th October. People change their plans at the last moment, ask to stay on the waitlist until 7 days out.


Mind you reading your post again, if renting points can you go on the waitlist ?

You will have to have the member you rented from handle the transaction to switch to a 1BR (or get on the waitlist). You won't be able to waitlist yourself as that is a function done thru MS by the member.

I'm not clear what " ...and now I have almost enough points for a 1 bedroom instead of a preferred studio" means. You rented a reservation from the member- not points. You will have to have the member change that reservation for you, if possible. If the 1BR requires more points that your current reservation, that member will have to be able to help by providing the difference.
