OK, for all you Northeasterners, you can sympathize with me, but here we are, April fricken 5th, and it is STILL WINTER. We had one week of nice spring weather, and that was the week before last. I have to get out of here. I am pretending that it is still February, so my brain just does not have a complete breakdown.
We were going to drive down to VA to visit BIL & SIL for Easter and stay the week, since our kids rarely have the same week for spring break. ( MA does not use Easter to determine what week will be vacation week, it is always the 3rd full week of April). Well, I just found out that after months of planning with SIL, that THEY are planning on coming up here. They do this to us all the time, it is unreal. She never called me to say there might be a change in plans. She has been talking with MIL about coming home, and has not even mentioned that fact that we had plans to go down there. So, I told MIL to tell her when she talked to her again, that even if they don't come up here, we are not going down there. I can't sit around and wait until the last minute to find out if THEY decide to come home or not, when she hasn't even called me to explain that there may be a change in plans. Soooo.....
It hit me last night, we can go to HH. We were planning on driving to VA anyway. so why not drive to SC instead? I looked in the member book, and HH points to not have Easter week has a premiee week, so that tells me that it does not get crowded. We would only need 4 nights Mon-Thurs. So, I am hoping they have somethin available. Talk about last minute, but I need to get out of this time warp of winter!
