Hello all:

Just wanted to get some opinions on whether or not we will be able to get a ressie for Jan 12 through 19 for a two bdrm villa at any of the resorts on such short notice. Unfortunately, we had a reservation until today when the DVC owner we had been working with had a family emergency and had to back out of the deal we had since August. We already have our flights and tickets for the dates and ADRs at our favorite places. Also, since when you make and ADR they ask for your reservation number, are they actually linked so that when our DVC reservation was cancelled today, did we lose all of ADR's as well. I hope not.

Just wondering if anyone has tried to make any reservations for that time period and if this ADR reservation thing has ever come up?

Thanks,
Brian

12th and 13th could be hard with the Marathon.

I don't understand why the member backed out on you. If you had the reservation already, and only had to complete your payment (if that), why would they need to cancel the reservation? Unless the member is a commercial renter and DVC found out and cancelled the reservation on them.

We actually were waitlisted on the night of the 13th at VWL where the rest of our ressie was for, so I know it will be a problem at AVK and VWL. I was hoping some location would have the full 7 nights at one place so we didn't have to change rooms mid stay.

I am hopeful that we can find something. First I need to find a renter with points.

I sent you an PM about the circumstances surrounding the cancellation.

That's too bad the member wasn't able to get you at least another resort for the first two nights. I know I tried to change my husband's reservation for the Marathon and I wasn't able to get the night of the 13th at OKW in a studio.

Maybe they had to sell the contract, which would result in cancellation of the reservation. :confused3

Too bad. Hope things work out for the best.

We are waitlisted at OKW the night of 1/13 for a 2 bedroom. They told us everything was booked at OKW for that night.

Thanks lizzie. So I am guessing since OKW is booked on the 13th, most likely they are all booked solid on that day as well. Oh well looks like we will have to try waitlist and backup with a hotel ressie.
