What are the chances of "critters" (bugs, snakes, lizards etc.)getting into your ground floor room?

We, thanfully, have never had any issues with finding any yucky things in our rooms when whether we had ground floor or upper rooms but I am wondering if any of you book upper floors to avoid this possibility and what the chances are of finding a God forbid, snake , lizard or other unwelcome things like bugs etc... in yoru room?
This year we are staying at POFQ for the first time. I wanted to request upper floors to avoid this possibilty. My husband doesnt think it's that great of a possibility and prefers ground floor because it's eaiser to go to your room after a long day rather than climbing stairs etc... I told him that they do have elevators.

I'm glad this question was raised because I request upper level rooms for this purpose as well.

I was walking towards the elevators to go back to my room at POFQ and seen rats on the walkway. They ran as I approached towards them. This was at night and it was outside, not in our room.

I hate the thought of bugs, but the one time we did have one in our room (POFQ 1st fl.) resulted in one of my kids' favorite memories of Disney! The exterminator guys who came to get rid of it (it was a large roach looking thing) are dressed head to shoes as if from 'central casting' - its like being in a cool Disney-fied bug movie, its so great. And they are SUPER personable - I suspect they hire people for that job who are great at calming down people who are scared enough of bugs to call for help.

But to answer OP: In probably 30 nights onsite, 1st floor rooms, just 1 time did we find 1 bug. And I asked the 2 CM exterminators if I am less likely to get bugs on higher floor, and they said no - they find them everywhere.

Something crawled on my M-I-L while she was sleeping on the 1st floor at CSR. She tells herself it was a baby lizard..... But we'll never know!
