What are the chances of a stroller being stolen at Disney?

We always took our Maclaren with us and never had a problem. A CM might have to move it down some but that is it. I wouldn't worry about it.

We always took our $200+ Maclaren and never had a problem. Some people bring locks with them, but I think it's overkill. Yes, I know ... some people say "It only has to happen to you once ... blah, blah, blah". I will never convince those type of people that their stroller is safe and they will never convince me that my stroller is in danger.

If you're the nervous type, then lock the stroller so it cannot fold. Don't lock the wheels together since that will make it very hard for the CMs to re-arrange things.

We wrote our last name on our stroller in permanent marker. It is a macleran volo and I bought it for the trip. I wrote on the sides so we can easily walk by some one and see if they have our stroller. I am not opposed to demanding it back if I happen upon it. :earsgirl: With what I did to it there should be no mistaken itdentity. I sewed a bunch of pockets on the back to hold maps and such in bright colors. It took about an hour but it is worth it for the extra storage. It still can fold easily even with things in the pockets.

we are looking into a lojack and outfiting it with thumbprint technology so it can only be pushed by DH and I. just kidding but I did do the other stuff.

Tie something unappealing to the handle, like a dirty diaper in a see through carrier. I know it sounds disgusting but it will put people off stealing your own stroller, or a rental one.

I, too believed that our 2004 MacLaren Twin Traveller stroller would NEVER get stolen. We'd been to the parks many, many times w/o incident until it happened to us this past Labor Day weekend. Bummer...:(

In answer to the OP's question, odds are in your favor that your stroller will NOT get stolen, but of course, it can happen. Like Robinb said in her post, if you're nervous about it, secure it. We lock our new Mac TT now. I don't want to go shopping for new stroller anymore, LOL!

Bummer :(. I 'm sorry that happened to you. I guess I too would start locking my stroller if mine was taken. In the meantime, my 6 year old is getting too big for her beat-up butt-ugly lime green plaid Mac.
