What are the chances Air Tran will change flight times??

We have extended our Disney trip for August. I need to move our Air Tran flights 5 days earlier. The change fee is almost as much as the ticket itself! I heard that if they move the flight time you can change days for free because it is is "inconvenient". What are the chances that Air Tran actually changes flight times on a 4pm flight? Thanks!

There's a chance. I wonder, though, as they get more and more integrated into the ways of Southwest if they do that less, since Southwest never does.

When I booked more than 6 months out, Airtran ALWAYS changed my flight times. But I agree with the poster who said SW integration will change that... however do you know what the integration timeline is for your airport? That alone could increase the change of flight changes. Does SW already fly from your airport? Are you connecting or flying nonstop?

We booked our May flights with Air Tran back in January and within about a month our return flight (was due to leave at 8:40pm I *believe*) got pushed back by about 40 mins.

We ended up switching that flight to the first non-stop the next morning instead. Extra full day at Disney

I bboked my June 15 flight in middle of Jan. A few weeks ago it got moved an hour later and then yesterday another 15 min later...so there is prob a good chance.

I ended up picking an earlier flight cause my sister had to pick an earlier flight (flying southwest to different city) and originally I didnt change cause I didnt want to pay the $75 fee (for a $109 flight) but now I can change for free...

I booked our May AirTran flights in October, through AirTran's website. Of course I was kicking myself once the option of booking AirTran flights on SWA's website was available . The thought of free checked bags for this self-admitted over packer was very appealing . Lucky for me, I received an e-mail from AirTran a few weeks ago that our departure flight time had changed by a whopping 20 minutes . I called AirTran and asked if I would receive a FULL refund if I did not accept the flight change. They said yes, so I cancelled our flights. I then immediately re-booked the exact same flights on SWA (even saving an additional $12 ). WooHoo for free checked bags !
