What are the best shoes to wear to DL for a long day of walking?

I swear by crocs!
I made fun of my sister for 2 years for wearing those ugly shoes (she's a nurse) but now I'm converted!
I am a SAHM, so I'm barefoot most days. So in my pre-croc days, no matter what I wore, tennis shoes or sandals, my feet were killing me from being contained, or sore from blisters, or tired from standing ( I have no arches, so long periods of standing are not good to me!)
Well, before we went to Disneyland in June, I promised the kids Mickey crocs. So after hearing everyone swear how comfy crocs are, I figured I'd give it a shot, so I grabbed me a pair. I ripped the tags off in the car on the way down, so that tells you how much breaking in they got.
By the end of the first day I was impressed. By the end of the second day, I was converted! I can't believe the difference! So now, no matter how much my husband mocks my ugly shoes, I LOVE them!
Sorry if this got long...I heart crocs!

I wear my Crocs Athens thong sandals EVERYWHERE. . .this is So. Cal and even if it rains, its not cold. . .these sandals are so comfortable.

What are the best shoes/type of shoes to wear to DL for a long day of walking?

I second the KEENS> Real shoe REAL arch support. I am for the most part, anti Crocs. HOWEVER, because there was a pair of arch supports sitting around , I stuck them in my Crocs. Low and behold it turned my hiddious crocs that I can NOT wear, into a pair of shoes I forget I'm wearing. I think as long as you have good arch support Crocs are ok. But be careful they are horrible if it's wet. I really slipped on some water and almost distroyed my knee, there is no traction. I am going in Dec I will take my crocs, but probably only wear my KEENS.

I prefer to switch back and forth between Crocs and Keens. I used to like tennis shoes too, but after wearing Keens I really notice how much I dislike squishing my toes together into pointy shoes... I just got another pair of Keens so I don't need any stinkin' tennis shoes anymore! hahaha

Crocs! I have worn Crocs for my last 4 Disney trips and I can't believe I ever wore anything else! I used to wear my Easy Spirit walking shoes, and they were good, still are, but as the day went on and my feet swelled some, they felt constricting and uncomfortable, but I don't have that problem with my crocs! Love 'em, especially now that DD and I have matching pink Mickey crocs!

What type of arch supports did you put into your crocs?

Some one talked about these on the WDW side and I decided to try them since I have very high arches and I love them!!!!

I thought they were super ugly at first but my feet not hurting has made me not care. I have worn them everywhere including lots of trips to DL and a recent trip to WDW. They are fanastic and I can't wait to get them in more colors.

Birkenstocks!! Unsure how to spell them but they work! I never took mine off.. I know I will get blazed but thry blow crocs away!!!

fairycat: I think those flip flops are very cute, and look comfy....love the pink and orange!

My HD and two DD are coming at the end of November for 6 nights. What type of weather can we expect? I was thinking of bringing our crocs and comfy runners.

I have been using a teva similar to this one Click here Mine has a little more open area around the toe. I can wear them with our without socks.

Our trips are usually in Oct. or December and I find the slightly open with socks is plenty warm at night.

I wear Crocs also. If I don't not only do my feet hurt I also get blisters!

They aren't for everyone though. My Mom who has narrow feet with a good arch didn't find them to be helpful. I have wide flat feet so for me the extra room is what made the difference!
